It's the third time I read this post and every time I learn something new about linking. Would you say is better to have 3 links in PR6 sites than 100 in PR2 blogs?

You want to aim for links between relevant content, period
If you get the links from high pagerank sites so much the better, because they will also probably give you a lot more traffic, but at the end of the day you want to aim for relevance of the content, and good anchor text.

I think is time for me to move into DoFollow, tomorrow I'll add the plugin, but makes sense to have also top commentators?

If you have top commentators, I would strongly suggest only having it on your front page (use if is_home() ), or if it is on internal pages make them a nofollow link.
