in Sneak Peak of Oddfellows Cafe + Bar on Urbnlivn
I went to oddfellows for brunch this morning. They're still getting used to things (and the breakfast food was awol due to the snow), but the food was excellent, and the place is gorgeous. We had a BLTa and the fig & ricotta brioche, but by far the best thing were the pb&j muffin/cupcake things at the front counter. Go get one now!

That looks pretty hot, although I love tumblr for a variety of reasons, including the importing of other feeds, as another commenter pointed out.

Not having it's own commenting system isn't really a drawback to me, as I use Disqus, which is the greatest thing to happen to commenting in a long time. In fact, if tumblr ever decides to include commenting by default, I'd much prefer they use disqus than build their own system.

The one thing streem has that tumblr is sorely missing, is a good directory/universe.

my sister is a big deepak chopra fan and she was very excited about the show with mike meyers. I never heard what she thought.

It sounds really interesting, and I'd like to see some of the episodes from season 1 too, but unfortunately they're not on dvd or available for download (and we have rabbit-ears).

Won't be able to make it that weekend, but I'm sure it'll be awesome. Looking forward to seeing what comes of it!

It's a little campy, kind of reminds me of SitePal, but with video instead of an avatar.

I love video, but even when widgetized, I prefer more of a email/inbox paradigm, like mailemotion or eyejot (my company). Long term, a service like that can continue to be of use, where this seems like a novelty that may fade and/or be annoying the 10th time you visit a site and it hasn't been updated.

Kevin Well then update it....just like you might do with anything else on your web site. That's one of the beautiful things about Bubble Guru, updates are a snap.

Or better yet, have cookies deliver up different Bubble Guru messages based on the number of times users revisit a web site.

"The kids are alright." I don't have kids myself, but I admire your relationship with your own.

I actually liked a lot of my parents' music growing up, mostly oldies, in addition to my own angsty alt-rock, but we never really talked about it. I don't know if it's because it wasn't cool for me to admit it, or because it wasn't new for them, but apparently there just wasn't anything to say.

They were happy to let me blast whatever I wanted, but they never asked about it, except perhaps to question the value of some of the more egregiously offensive stuff (like bodycount or 2 live crew.. lol, i question it myself).

They did encourage our passion for music though, letting me go to lots of shows from an early age, and taking music lessons / having band practices in the garage, there just wasn't the same connect. I hope I have it with the (someday) kids..
