in The Subtle Art of Linkbaiting on Chris Brogan
Nice write up Chris. But really at this point don't you think that everyone can smell the slightest hint of link bait? Each of the points above is a great way to create good link bait. Add brilliant content to the formula and you will have a ton of links.

in http://www.instigatorblog.com/startups-need-more-practical-guidance-not-fluff/2008/11/21/ on Instigator Blog
Ben, excellent content as usual without any fluff.
We tried to raise capital two years ago and in all honesty got overwhelmed with the process and the time investment it required. It seemed we either grow our practice or spend the time to raise money to grow our business. The more VS I spoke with, i discovered that raising capital for a consulting firm is more difficult than raising capital for a software company.
I am not sure if the timing is right now but I am thinking of taking a 2nd look at raising capital.

Ben,
The iterative process is usually driven by a software methodology that does always align well with marketing and business goals. You outlined an excellent strategy to get both software and marketing teams on the same page.

in Is It Important For Startups To Have Blogs? [Poll Results] on StartUpArabia
Mohamed,
What is most interesting about the finding is the fact that the survey was conducted in Saudi Arabia. I had no idea that blogs are popular there as well. I am also glad to have cross your blog :)
Stumbled for great content!

in White Paper Landing Page Study Results on Writing White Papers
Michael,
A 17% conversion rate is excellent for that landing page. I wonder if you could have tweaked the page a little more to drive conversion to a higher percentage. What was the main method of driving traffic to the page (organic, pcc, etc)?

in What Becomes a Small Business Brand? on Duct Tape Marketing
Hi John,
Excellent post. I think many small business owners are so focused on their day to day business that many times they lose sight of the big picture. I have to make a call in couple of hours to a customer who was not happy with some of the results he received from us. Although we invested so much time and effort into his work. After reading this post, I am even more motivated to go out of my way to make sure that he is satisfied with. Every action is a step towards building a brand.
