It seems that you are just exploiting the designers, as you are just trying to get a great design on the cheap and disguising it as a 'contest'.

excellent post, on my first blog I added a top commenter's plugin and it was nothing but spam and hastle. i never thought it hurt my SERPs though due to duplicate content.

I loved your article, some really precise reasons to have a blog installed. I was considering it a couple of months ago and read some articles but none as clear as yours. I'm starting to reconsider not setting up a blog now!
