You know, I find myself nodding as I read the tips. Very well written, and for a while, I thought I was the one who wrote it. However, there are certain debatable points, e.g.
(1) partial vs full feeds -- a lot have been said regarding this, so I'd like to think that this is a personal choice, and not one that will determine the success of one's blog. Just my opinion though :)
(2) don't do link posts -- link posts can be done very impressively if the blogger avoids using anchor texts that read "this" or "click this" or "read more here". I've come across pretty interesting link posts in which the bloggers were able to incorporate the links very seamlessly into the posts :)

That depends on what kind of "sick", right? If I have a flu or a fever and if I could still get to work, I would. And I'd go home if I find myself sleeping in the office. But if I've got a headache, no way, I'd call in sick and stay in bed until I'm well.

I would change the mentality of most people regarding the environment. Most people think that we do not need to care about the environment, because whatever happens today (species extinction, global warming, etc.) is part of the natural selection.

If I could just snap my fingers and change something, I'd change their mentality. I'd make everybody more conscious of and respectful to their environment.

This is so aptly written but unfortunately, not many people see the points behind it. Like you said, many people say that they "have" to work to "make ends meet" but their definition of "making ends meet" is quite actually to "living in a huge house, drive a few huge cars and visit Europe every year".

I don't normally chat for long with people who don't know what they're saying..

This is so so true! A lot of people do not realize that they -- one person -- can make a difference. A lot of people feel that change only happens if millions of people work towards it.

Cool! The A710 was what I'm planning to get for myself for my birthday, kekkke :) I checked, and it costs about 1190 Malaysian Ringgits (equivalent to USD 351) but only comes with a 1GB card, a pouch, and a mini tripod, nothing else -- no batteries, no printer :(

I did it without having to go down to the codes. There's an option page to do it, no?

I loved the plug-in but I'm not using it at the moment because it clashes with my theme :( Once the plug-in is activated, I can't save the changes made to my sidebars (the changes won't load).

I've not tried it but I thought I should alert you that WordPress is spelt "WordPress", not "Wordpress" or "wordpress". It may mean just a typo for you, but people will question your credibility if you can't even get the platforn name straight..

Yeah, I understand this isn't a spelling competition, and I hope you don't take my comment personally. To quote an article Lorelle wrote on Blog Herald:

WordPress is a trademark and thus must be spelled appropriately. This has been explained redundantly, so when I see a blog post with Wordpress not WordPress and Wordpress plug-in not WordPress Plugin, the article loses some of its luster.

I try to ignore it, but it does score a bit against the credibility of the author who should know better. It isnâ€™t a killer but it does downgrade my score for inclusion.

Why? If their attention to detail skips the proper spelling of these words, what does that say for the information they are presenting. What little detail has been overlooked or ignored? Should I risk recommending something that might be flawed?

Have you updated your blog? Are you able to use your Automatic Upgrade plugin? I used to have a problem with your initial release, but I had recently upgraded it to the newest version (0.6), but haven't tested it yet.

It doesn't take a pro-blogger (or a rocket scientist) to realize how true points #5 and #7 are. New users would either rush to sign-up under popular bloggers or remove the referral ID altogether when signing up. And as with many other kinds of links (and posts) in the blogosphere, we really can't tell which are genuine and which aren't!

John, perhaps you could write another post that details the budget that one needs to start a non-profit blog/site?

For example, for somebody who's only considering a blog/site for their non-profit organization, the Aweber subscription may not be necessary (because you begin with little subscribers, and the fact that Aweber costs money). Plus, you could send a simple email to your subscribers in the first few months or even a year (and that email serves as a newsletter too).

Yeah, I see the point. But other people (who are just starting a NPO website) may not know, so that was why I suggested that you write a post that details the budget that one needs to start a non-profit blog/site (because you have a HUMONGOUS following), LOL.

No, one of the rules is that blogathoners CANNOT write posts prior to the event. All posts must be written LIVE, and they cannot be scheduled to publish automatically while the blogger goes to sleep. That's where the challenge lies, I think :)
