You're bookmarked (subcategory, "Art Supplies," don't ask), so that sez alot. If you're not getting the traffic you'd like it's probably 'cause of the overstuffed condition of all things blog, which is one of the problems you get with too much choice.

On my initial & subsequent entry to your page I get something like the feeling I got when first descending into a walk-down boho joint in the Village: there's something different here.

Congratulations.

I watched with a small group, also didn't follow the series religiously, but found the concluding episode artfully done -- I was reminded of Terry Southern in "The Magic Christian" having Guy Grand take a film and add bits of red-herring scenes (as I recall, for example, a couple are talking in a kitchen -- this is changed to a couple talking in a kitchen, close up of a big knife on a butcher block, then back to the couple talking -- the audience is so programmed to respond to foreshadowing that during intermission they're confused [which Guy underscores by mixing with the crowd and asking in a loud voice "what was that with the knife?!"). ANYWAY, I thought this episode was full of such foreshadowing, and was very, very funny -- and then at the end sent the family (and the Family) out into the world unresolved, as in real life (and into Tony's self-created nightmare, as Chuck mentioned).

One person in the group watching the thing got so angry he shouted at the teevee, however, so it wasn't hilarity all around, by the way.

Although I was vastly impressed by Brian's 2004 Smile, and have played it tons, I prefer the bootleg I have of the 1967 album -- essentially this sounds like what was left in the stacks when the project was abandoned, so there are rough spots, but from the first notes (the "Prayer" bit) the depth of the sound + the general ambiance (sorry) are better. The band's voices are great. To sum it up, I told a friend it sounded like Disneyland after closing time while on acid; you definitely get a feeling of Brian's monomania in the cuts (some of which is imparted by the repetition of the Heroes & Villians refrain, which keeps popping up).
