There's actually a more interesting connecting thread between both of those films than just Clooney: both films are productions of Participant Productions, a production studio focused on promoting social awareness and change through films. They're the same guys behind "An Inconvenient Truth" and the forthcoming movie adaptation of "Fast Food Nation".
