in The 10 Commandments of PowerPoint on The 2.0 Life
David,
Another great post. I have to say the 2.0 life is fast becoming one of my "must read" blogs on my Google Reader!
I have a slight tweak to bullet points. I think they're sometimes necessary when you really need to convey a list. Say "demographics of users (teens, 50% male, 90% own phones)" or some sort of list. There's no need to really draw a pie chart or something to demonstrate that 50% are male because just listing it up there and moving on is really the point.
What do you think?
Daryl

in 10 Ways I Use Evernote on The 2.0 Life
Really enjoyed this post! I wrote a post "How Evernote changed my life" some time back, and as a student, your way of using Evernote really makes sense!
The "tickler" concept has really made life so much easier. The difference is I keep it all in one note and manually write in the days just so that I don't create too many notes and make it a little unwieldy, but I suppose as long as it does what it's supposed to do, who cares!

in I may have been a little too harsh on Shooting at Bubbles
Maybe you were harsh, Steven, but I think it needed to be said. While certainly it would be unfair to say that everyone who uses anonymous handles signals an idiot behind the keyboard, I also feel that sometimes, people use anonymity simply because they know if they used their real names, people would know their real, slimy selves and would not take a word they said seriously because they have no credibility.

in How I use Tweetdeck (for hardcore twitter users) on theory.isthereason
I was just thinking of trying out Tweetdeck over Twhirl.... this screenshot has me sold! I'm currently running both the narcissism and interest monitor as an rss feed into Google Reader, and being able to pipe that into Tweetdeck will cut noise for me for sure. Thanks so much for this!

The change sure was dramatic. I was also hoping for there to be a "choose the old theme" option, but alas. While I do like the space, I find all the white to be a little to "bright" and I miss the blue hues.

in louisgray.com: Every Night, I Sleep Next to My iPhone on louisgray.com
since getting my iPod touch and a totally wi-fi-enabled house, my iPod touch is within reach too. I find myself wiki-ing random stuff before i go to bed, and checking both the temperature and my mail first thing when i wake up! In fact I find my phone increasingly further away because everything gets routed through one of my many inboxes anyway

in Obama: The morning after and some last thoughts on The Inquisitr
Thanks for the link, Steven. As if last night wasn't amazing enough, this morning around Queen's I saw students in Obama t-shirts and "OBAMA" written in shaving or whipped cream along the sidewalk. Truly amazing. I didn't even see that much interest in the Canadian elections last month!

Daryl that is because the Canadian election was a bullshit sham :) In the end the government (and those running) spent $300 million over 6 weeks and nothing has changed and nothing will. As it is Ontario it was announced yesterday will be joining the ranks of the poorest provinces in the country. It is no wonder that we look upon what is happening in the US with a forlorn sense of "damn I wish that was us"

and i didn't say who is the *someone* ! me respect privacy.haha
