Maybe the sporadic stats have something to do with the migration to Google Accounts?

Stats seem to be working as usual for my account.

in Completely torn over mobile photos on Colin Devroe
I'd say keep mobile photos on Flickr. Brightkite has no way to show sets of mobile photos as a "gallery" set right? Meaning you can't simply send a friend to a set of mobile photo that the can browse through.

Alright picked these up but they turn off after about 30 seconds. MkV R32. What am I missing to getting these wired?

As an alternative to launching the Activity Monitor, simply hit CMD+Option+Esc and restart the Finder.

So I'm confused, are Skype calls initiated and completed over a data connection?

in MySpace Layouts Top 10 on Mashable - The Social Media Guide
I'm with Mike. If I'm not squashing overlay generator sites for ripping what I'm sharing (even going so far as to profit off of the redistributions), I'm squashing redundant questions that previous public inquiries may have addressed. I may not have the top award for tasteful, but I do have the spot for minimal.

in 2006/06/13/is-lostcherry-better-than-myspace/ on Mashable - The Social Media Guide
Ergh. While the name Lost Cherry is "different", they definitely take the cake for 1) providing a means for users to annoy other users using the "cherry" blast, and 2) they've managed to create an uglier platform from which to network from. The entire service looks like a profile that a high school student might setup. The black background with hardlines (red & white)? No thanks, I would rather waste my days on MySpace or TagWorld versus LC.
You have to wonder if any attemps to create a niche in the social networking market these days carries any value. What are the real world chances of really getting up off the ground?

in The diet log makes a comeback, in a whole new way on Colin Devroe
Add me to the list. Although, I won't be trying to lose wait, I'll be trying to gain. No matter what I try - protein shakes, eating binges, weight time, etc - the pounds don't stick. I've been stuck at a 178lb mark (6'2") for the past four years. I think an extra 10-15 would do a body good.

Great list. I can't complain or critic in any shape way or form. Most of the ones you listed were already classics in my book. Inspiration for us all who yearn to create something worth noticing.

in 2006/02/12/3bubbles-why-im-skeptical-about-live-chat-on-blogs/ on Mashable - The Social Media Guide
let's leave the live chat windows where they're supposed to be left - on our desktops for quick meaningless messages back and forth between contacts.
IM conversations generally have a poor signal-to-noise ratio, making it virtually impossible for subsequent readers to find the information they’re looking for.
i couldn't agree more. what makes 3bubbles think that new readers will be able to make any use of these conversations? i used to archive my local chats until i realized that it was completely useless. why archive lines of jibber when the actual useful content may only span a few words?
let's leave the "conversation" to the blog comments. isn't that what those are for. as much as i find some posts online interesting, they're not interesting enough for me to spend a good deal of my time engaging in a "hello, how are you.. this post was great!" conversation. i'll drop my thoughts in the comments, plug my crumbs into cocomment, and be on my merry way.
