BTW - I found this site through your great Simpson's map on flickr.

Have a wonderful week!

Re: Today’s Toy Hunt

Did you end up getting any of the toys?

Re: IE DevBar Beta 3 Released

I didn't realize the English language allowed you to put the words "favorite" and "Internet Explorer" into a logical sentence! ;)

I always liked IE before the IE 7 release. Now it crashes 5-10 times an hour, so I have no choice but to use Firefox and Opera. As long as it's not required or even visible for most users, I don't think it will matter much though.

Del.icio.us needs to figure out how to become more accessible to the average user, adding tag descriptions to the already obscure idea of tagging (to Joe and Janet Internet User at least) certainly isn't going to help them regain the position they lost to companies like Digg and StumbleUpon.

Re: Cat Bites and Form Filling

Doesn't seem like you're venting too much, I was expecting a full on rage ... Getting accused of being snarky would be a compliment in my book ... even better, if I was called "snarkilicious", I would probably give that person a hug.

As corny as Edwards is though, I doubt he'd ever call someone snarkilicious... too bad, if he did I'd probably vote for him ;)

Re: Ed Cone, combo of politics, tech, community

Posts like this is why I love your site ... it's great how one day you might be posting about the latest and greatest tech advances, and the next you're talking about lounging around eating banana pudding.

I always read CIO Insight mag, I'll need to start looking for his 'know it all' articles and read his blog. As someone who doesn't have a lot of free time, I often just listen to the radio, because it's easy and I don't have to spend time hunting.

iLike.com looks like a step in the right direction for finding good stuff, particularly through networks of iLike friends. What I'd really like though is something like StumbleUpon, but for music. I never really thought the random suggested music through services like Yahoo (Unlimited?) were very targetted, so I've always dropped them after only a few months.

Anita

Re: If you had $10,000 to spend at CES…

Ooohhh ... think how many corn dogs and french fries that would buy!

Seriously though, if I had to spend it at CES, I'd probably buy 2 home entertainment systems - 50in LCD for the family room and 60in for the basement. Some nice speakers, receivers, and $10K would be gone in no time.

Otherwise, I'd give it to Leukemia Society or something.

Re: CES’s coolest toy: a dragonfly

$50 for that vs. $500 for an iPod? Plus, if you do this on a carbon footprint per calorie basis, I'll bet the burger wins over some veggies that have very low calories (e.g. celery).

Re: Name That Whale, Quickly!

I'm a self-described tree hugger and actually like "Mr. Splashy Pants".
