in From Geek to Freak: How I Gained 34 lbs. of Muscle in 4 Weeks on The Blog of Author Tim Ferriss
Awesome job, that's amazing how much muscle you gained in such a short time. 4 months of that and you might be the incredible hulk! ;)

in 2007/03/15/delicious-tag-descriptions/ on Mashable - The Social Media Guide
"Why bother" is what I was thinking too. As long as it's not required or even visible for most users, I don't think it will matter much though.

Del.icio.us needs to figure out how to become more accessible to the average user, adding tag descriptions to the already obscure idea of tagging (to Joe and Janet Internet User at least) certainly isn't going to help them regain the position they lost to companies like Digg and StumbleUpon.

Wow, that is pretty slick (I like your site layout as well). BTW - I found this site through your great Simpson's map on flickr.

Have a wonderful week!

in IE DevBar Beta 3 Released on Is There Food?
I didn't realize the English language allowed you to put the words "favorite" and "Internet Explorer" into a logical sentence! ;)

I always liked IE before the IE 7 release. Now it crashes 5-10 times an hour, so I have no choice but to use Firefox and Opera. Ugghhh...

in CES’s coolest toy: a dragonfly on Scobleizer
$50 for that vs. $500 for an iPod? My mind is made up ... although it would be an easy decision since my 2 year old would probably break either, might as well go for the cheaper alternative.

in CES: Netgear Storage Central Turbo — Elliott C. Back on Elliott Back's Blog
Wow, this is amazingly cheap for that level of storage. If it has RAID1 and/or RAID5, I'm definitely buying one of these for my company (I'm CIO of a somewhat small company, so this type of thing might be perfect).

Oops, that didn't work ... seriously, not trying to spam you (there's no preview button to know which html tags you accept):

WOW - a fellow Cornellian! When did you graduate (98 here). $20,000 in loans isn't that bad ... and as Ben says, if your rates are low (mine are 2%), just take the long road.

in If you had $10,000 to spend at CES… on Scobleizer
Ooohhh ... think how many corn dogs and french fries that would buy!

Seriously though, if I had to spend it at CES, I'd probably buy 2 home entertainment systems - 50in LCD for the family room and 60in for the basement. Some nice speakers, receivers, and $10K would be gone in no time.

Otherwise, I'd give it to Leukemia Society or something.

I've always felt that one of the the most frustrating things about music is finding the good stuff. As someone who doesn't have a lot of free time, I often just listen to the radio, because it's easy and I don't have to spend time hunting.

iLike.com looks like a step in the right direction for finding good stuff, particularly through networks of iLike friends. What I'd really like though is something like StumbleUpon, but for music. I never really thought the random suggested music through services like Yahoo (Unlimited?) were very targetted, so I've always dropped them after only a few months.

For Dell, Conversation = 20 minutes with an Indian CSR reading a question and answer flow chart.

They need to address service at all levels, not just their big customers.

I've never been able to get used to the online readers ... they always seem too slow. I keep a desktop reader at home, and one at the office ... call me old fashioned.

in Edwards interview up on Scobleizer
I was offered a job at IBM 10 years ago, and even then the Fab (for PowerPC and Cyrix chips in Burlington, VT) was just amazing. I can't imagine how cool Intel must have been in comparison.

Posts like this is why I love your site ... it's great how one day you might be posting about the latest and greatest tech advances, and the next you're talking about lounging around eating banana pudding.

I always read CIO Insight mag, I'll need to start looking for his 'know it all' articles and read his blog. Sounds like a great guy.

in The snarky questioner on Scobleizer
I've always loved the word Snarky. Getting accused of being snarky would be a compliment in my book ... even better, if I was called "snarkilicious", I would probably give that person a hug.

As corny as Edwards is though, I doubt he'd ever call someone snarkilicious... too bad, if he did I'd probably vote for him ;)
