no purdue association........i don't care. I don't care if kevin stallings was the coach of duke and won 8 tittles in a row. i would disassoiciate from the program that gives me a reason to live. I really would. I haven't missed an IU basketball game since 1989. I want the best there is. Hiring KS was a mistake from the get go. I like him. I don't care what any of you say. He got great player and showed great potetial, and a love to win like we all share. I believe it was a mistake on the university's part to give us that kind of coach under the heat he was on and then have it stripped from up. If Miles Bramd is the head of the NCAA don't hire a coach under heat at a top program. At least not at IU. I mean the studends damn near burned down his house. How stupid could one be to hire someone with heat already on him. I mean this guy didn't really do much wrong. Come on....some phone all. There were over a hundred schools in the same boat as us and they weren't brought into as much media hype as un. It just sucks to hire a coach that has a chance of being fire, like we were delt wth. I liked sampson.....his offfence sucked, but the players loved him, and thats what is all about. I just hate accepting a coach and having him stripped from us. All you KS hates need to understand that this man kept us ranked all yearl, and that what he did wasn't really that bad. IU needs to step up to the plate and get the best of the best this time.

This is really depressing. This is one of the most talented teams we've had since 01-02......and we can't do any better than this? Dakich should not be coaching this team. He doesn't actually coach anyhow. The last 3 games have been pathetic. This coaching situation has really taken its toll on this team. There is no way you can compare the 93 hoosiers to this team anyhow. No way. That team was talented in all spots and were well coached. They also had to deal with a lot better competition in the big 10. I'm fusterated like every other IU fan right now, and it is not just because we got blown out. I'm tired of hearing about the KS BS. I'm tired of no offense and poor defense. I'm tired of adding years to the last time we won an NCAA championship. I'm just sick of it. I'm tired of it. We need to get someone in charge of this program that knows what in the hell they are doing. I mean the damn Knight mess....the Davis disaster...and now the KS deal.....come on. I mean how much more can we put up with?
Whoever said DJ should be a 4 is absolutely correct. I thought maybe we could get something out of a 6-11center like eli. Eli, DJ, Ellis, Gordan, Basset. Size is what usually wins the Big 10. We always have pretty good gaurds....I think its time to focus on the big men. That is what brought helped us win in 01-02. We had jefferies, newton, odle, leach...that gave us some decent size that could be rotated.

I don't know. We need to get a damn coach.

I figured at the beginning of the year that we would loose to Michigan State at Breslin. I agree with statement made that the Wisconson game is the game we really messed on. If we would of won we would be in a three-way tie right now. I was just disappointed with the lack of effort by the players and the fact that Dackich is not "coaching" the team.....or he doesn't have control over them or whatever. I guess all we can do now is hope Ohio State beats purdue, so at least they don't get any of the action.

Crawford is a good player. I don't see how anyone could disagree with that. He is a freshman....we can't expect him to preform like a senior. When (or if) Crawford is a junior and bassett is a senior they will be the best backcourt in the big ten. Shaheen Holloway would of been a nice addtion to that backcourt, but I suppose we better just take this one step at a time.

I hope we come out alright in the Big Ten Tournament. I have a bad feeling if we have to play Illionois, but we will see. It would be a great accomplishment if we could get our act together and win in Indy. At least this seaon would be a total waste with this much talent.

Coaching: we need to hire someone outside the IU family. We need the best coach out there. Alford can stay where he is at and Dackich can head back to the "basketball operations" office. I liked Sampson, myself, but it was a mistake to hire him in the first place. All we need is a coach that will A: Keep the players where they are. B: Hold on to the recruits. C: Run an offense D: Make the team defensively sound.

and I know his grades weren't so hot in highschool...I agree we could of really used him this year

Indiana probably isn't all the way out of the picture.....he probably just wants to explore options early because he may not like the new coach at IU....just a thought...or maybe somebody has a nice suv waiting for him
