Excellent work Arun. Trak.in certainly has come a long way and I guess our relationship has also grown along with Trak.in. I remember missing interacting with you while I was in Pune, but nevertheless some other time :)

Nice post Arun, it does raise some good points.

Contrary to what you pointed Infosys has done such kind of partnerships.

I remember in our campus cafeteria, we had employees of Infosys Pune who were being trained to receive a Masters degree from BIT . A unique collaboration b/w Birla and Infosys to ensure that the employees receive degree of highest level.

Other than this, the question really is how much value add does this degree provides you as a working-executive? It is easier said than as it is certainly difficult to balance work pressure with study.

The positive side really is that a lot of people who've dreamt of acquiring quality degrees can now do so without actually quitting their jobs.

Well yes, this thought certainly makes a lot of sense. These days people don't quite enjoy listening directly about your product/service for that matter. It's always good to talk about topics which address various issues and make people think & question.

This approach goes beyond the traditional concept of direct marketing where you end up pitching your business' services.

I learnt about you from my friend Becky's blog@customersrock. Lolly, if I may say so your post is a very nice example of constructive-criticism.

I've read reactions to Paul's post at other places but the tone has been pretty harsh.

Let us accept it - Blogs, Micro-blogs, Communities, social-network everything is different and have got a different purpose and focus.

If a guy wants to share his thoughts on his personal-diary there's no option but to choose a weblog.
