Looks like they made stencil versions of Bank Gothic and Eurostile for the type. Suits it well.

Though FF Oxide would have been a less obvious choice and perhaps more in line with military lettering.

The main title gets its distinctive look from the round 'E's of Herb Lubalin's ITC Serif Gothic. Unfortunately the digital version is missing these 'E's and a few other wacky letter shapes.
