For me, "Rosie" by Anne Lamott is a favorite, as are O'Brien's "In the Lake of the Woods," "Yellow Raft on Blue Water" by Michael Dorris and "Wild Meat and the Bully Burgers" by Lois-Ann Yamanaka.

But I'm sure that will change in about five minutes.

:) It usually does.

Re: NashuaTelegraph.com: Blogs

How could I forget John Hiatt??

Re: Tap, tap, tappin’

Maybe it doesn't have that song in its database. Not So Much

We could just build a tension powered catapult to fire rednecks at a concrete wall. We'll use farmed trees for the wood so we don't destroy old growth. We make it really powerful so those rednecks really splatter. Then we compost the remains and use that rich soil to grow soy beans.

I'm serious.

The redneck fans of nascar will be just as happy: "Jeb Gorgon was the greatest athlete in the history of sports. Some of y'all say catapulting ain't a sport, but let's see you catapult into a wall like Jeb did. He was a real Amerrican hero and a true athlete. God rest his soul."

And the rest of us will be happy as well. And don't even try to do this without giving me my royalties, Treehugger.

Re: Ben Stein: "Global Warming is By No Means Proved"

In science you can only disprove a hypothesis, never prove it. It is methane, and could be collected from sewage and compost, but when you're being sold natural gas, you're getting the methane byproduct from the refining of crude oil. Nothing green about that.

Sarah Palin is just dumb. Everyone knows thati. No one should bother listening to her. Bike does not always equal green. Morons need to leave bikes alone. Use the right kind of bike for what you are doing. Keep it maintained so it will last for a long time. Simplify, not moronify.

Re: Cricket Gives Out Free Shipping Labels for Easy Phone Recycling

Awful service, I think people will be using their labels to recycle phones often because cricket is only slightly better than buying a phone in a grocery store.

Re: U2's The Edge Upsets Malibu Neighbors

God speaks to me.
