in How to create a sales letter landing page with WordPress Thesis Theme on How To Make My Blog
I didn't knew that! Well for me I usually buy wordpress themes that are specifically designed as a sales page. So far it works well with sales and SEO rankings because search engines love wordpress..

Marko Saric @Melvin - Well, now you will only need Thesis theme if you follow my tutorial. And of course you still have WordPress as Thesis runs on WordPress.

jasonkatzenback Yes they do make money but are not a cash cow currently. I firmly believe however that this is going to change soon and is the main reason companies are willing to invest so much in so little stock of the company. There have been some finances leaked but they are certainly not making mounds of profits.

This is 'somehow' true. For me definitely I agree but again like what you've said most bloggers always advice people to devise a plan.. It's pretty exactly what Shoemoney is telling his readers, don't plan for it, don't strategize with it, just implement it...

Fortunately for me I think I do all the things you stated there. :) I learned that lesson way long ago. Before, I really used to leave my blog and thats even for close a month. Marko Saric Thanks for all comments!

@Shirley - Strange. As Gerald Weber I find Akismet to work perfectly. It caught some 250 spam comments while I was away, did not slip any spam, and did not put any real comment into spam.

in 15 Ways to Improve Your Writing Ability on Asher Awesome Blog | Make Money Online | Work From Home |
I think it depends on what you are writing and actually what field/audience you are actually writing to. But anyway it makes sense altogether. :)

Asher Hi Melvin,
Thinking of the audience you are writing to is one very important key to improving writing ability. Thanks for pointing that out. A common mistake is to write with a lot of "I" in the article - usually, the articles that are more well received are articles with a significant difference between the use of "you" and "I".

HillbillyDirect's picture
HillbillyDirect I don't know that would be so quick to say that...

I was recently searching for a Wordpress theme and I knew that a few of my favorite blogs are advertising these, so I checked them out. The simple reason being there are sooo many places selling themes. Some are good, many are not. I expect that a reputable blog has reference to only quality products/services (in the authors opinion). So going to sites referenced by my favorite blogs is way to skim out most of the garbage and find the sites that actually offer some sort of value. This only works with a blog author that you have come to trust though. As we all know there are plenty of blogs that have no other interest but to push anything and everything, including the latest paid survey scam.

But there are a good handful of blogs that really aid a person in finding reliable info, products and services. I am subscribed, have the guide, read the posts and, if I need something you advertise, I'll check it out.

Cheers!

Jeromy

in How one blog comment can bring you 230+ unique visitors on How To Make My Blog
Wow that's huge! actually I also had like that on early this year when I commented on lifehackers post. Now the one thing is that when you comment on blogs, it carries on the image of your blog and Im surprised most people don't realize it. If your comment is worth of a value then more likely people would be interesting getting to know more of the one who wrote that comment which leads them to them eventually visitng the site...

in Traffic, Subscribers and Backlinks From Guest Posting on John Cow dot COM
You hit it right. I mean most bloggers do a guest post w/o any link back to their blog other than the "this post is guest blogged by name(link)" ... It never gives anything and you won't be credited that much for it..

Blogging Millionaire Yeah, but so many bloggers do not like you to link back to your own blog in your guest post. I know a lot of guest posts that I have submitted usually get rejected because of that reason. I think that if a blogger really wants someone to guest post they would not care. However, if a blogger is pressing the issue to get a guest post on another blog then they better make sure not to link back to their own blog unless the blogger says that it's ok.
