I consider myself a content creator or even new media producer. I call my show a show and rss is just one way of delivering that content to my audience. It's not the only way by far. In fact I have more people that listen through direct downloads than through my rss feed. Whenever I've used the word podcast to describe my show and what I do in the past, I've gotten a lot of confusing looks, so I refer to it as an internet radio show. Even though internet audio show is more accurate, the word radio seems to be the easiest way for people to understand it. I feel like the word podcast is limiting and a lot of people still have these notions that it is only avaiable on an iPod or mp3 player, and I definitely think that is crippling and can possibly limit the reach of out shows.

Re: net@nite Update

I really miss Amber's web workshops. I wouldn't mind seeing that as part of net@nite. By the way, is the show name going to change again?

Re: TWiT-AM Is On The Air

I usually listen to TWiT Live at work and only rarely get to watch the video, but since our network is shared by so many users, the video stalls from time to time. I'm listening to the stream now in iTunes and the audio sounds great. Now I'll definitely tune into the audio stream when I get to work. Thanks for putting this together.

Re: Holly Smokes Batman, two Digg clones sell for $3 million

Actually, the creators of ballhype are brilliant. They've done some really god work in the sports blogging arena. They paid attention and created a site that fits into a niche. I may not be original, but it was executed well. Digg Sports really sucks and I was looking for something similar where I could find latest posts from fellow Sports bloggers. I picked my favorite teams and I have the latest 5 posts for those teams on my ballhype sidebar. They've also done a bit more than digg with groups and games and a lot of my traffic comes from there. Good people who worked hard and have now been rewarded. Nothing wrong with that.

Re: Player Tiers by Position – Point Guards

I don't know about Tony Parker in tier 7 with guys like Udrih, Sessions, Nate etc.. He should probably be in tier 3. I understand your arguments, but the guy absolutely lights it up in the playoffs. Just look at what he didn against Steve Nash in round 1. Parker average I believe 30 and 8 a game and Nash averaged about 16 a game.

Re: Player Tiers by Position – Point Guards

Yea, I should probably read the comments first.

Re: The Face Break

I've already got a copy coming, but I'll take a guess anyway.

Kobe Bryant was in town and decided to teach you a lesson so that you would never use his nickname again in a movie not featuring him. We'll definitely have to bring you onto the podcast some time. You seem to have some great insight and analysis there.

Re: Social Media Inside the Firewall

Wow, I want to work there. I already do a lot of this stuff personally and for my blog and podcast, but to be able to use the tools I already do with my job would be great. I am lucky though in the fact that a prospective employer seems to be pretty forward thinking. The owner is on facebook and twitter and I'm trying to get a job there by showing them that there are several ways to cover news, especially using new media.
