Oh Maria, my heart is just breaking for you. What a horribly difficult thing to go through. I have a 110lb 'beast' who is just my baby! Last year he had an ear infection and that made him act differently to outsiders - not his sweet, loving self. To think of him turning on me. Oh. I'm just so sorry. I'm sorry you've been hurt so badly and I'm so sorry you've lost a dear friend, a darling member of your family who really would never want to hurt you. (Man this post turned me to MUSH! I was at WalMart the other day exchanging a keyboard, and while waiting for the manager, found myself right next to the cards - baseball, football, YuGiOh, Pokemon, etc, etc

And who popped into my mind? Why you, of course! I was looking and thinking, and looking and thinking...

And then I saw a set of cards that I (and my daughter) would LOVE to do a show about and I started getting excited!

I'm not entirely certain it would work, as it is a micro-micro-niche - but, I just won't know until I try, will I? ;)

I loved your message this morning, Gary, and this video is great! I think I'll just keep "Hustle 2.0" in my head as a mantra. It's short and sweet - and gets right to the point!

"Hustling your face off!" Love it! That's great, Gary! It kind of makes me think of how I feel about MySpace. I've slowly been building up my community there over the years, mostly for 'personal' social reasons, but, the audience I have there now (when I stay active there) is good, you know? People think, 'Myspace? What can Myspace do for your biz?' But I think it is a great tool. Not to mention a great place to hook up with cousins, school friends, etc.

And Ustream shows, they are so great, even the minimally-attended ones!

Although I totally agree with you about speaking 'to' your audience, I also think that your charisma and warmth are incredible and I enjoy listening to you speak no matter what. Your enthusiasm is contagious, no matter what! Look, I'm a recovering alcoholic with sixteen years of sobriety, but, I LOVE hearing you talk about wine! It fascinates me!

Like I said, you definitely made a good point, I just wanted to say that you're a special kind of person, who just doesn't fit the mold of 'all those other speakers' out there!

Oh, she's so adorable! I love the first cereal feeding! So much fun, and yet, ultimately disappointing. lol One of my three took to it like they'd been doing it all along. I can't remember if it was Shawn or Sam - it definitely wasn't Patrick. Shawn was such a good eater that first year, it sure might've been him. Whomever it was - it really shocked me! I'd never seen a first feeding go that well!

John - As far as the name goes, we have, in fact, adopted a 'newer' meaning of the term 'pimp'. And I have accepted it and haven't even cringed (too much) when hearing my kids use it, referring to TV shows or myspace themes, etc.

There was one lady that gave me pause, though, and she is an ex-hooker on MySpace. And so I am on the fence again, about the term. Read some of her stuff and you can get a feel for where she's coming from, as well.
