It sadens me that a law like this may eventually pass in all governments eventually(including my Aussie one)..

I've reached a point where I wish record companies would stop releasing there crappy copyrighted material so that this will all end. Stop marketing to my mind and tricking me into liking your sh!t so that I can stop buying your cra@.

I honestly feel helpless, part of me want's to put aside part of my monthly income and take out advertising space in a very popular newspaper and place a condeming add against record companies BUT im too afraid of the legal consequences of that..

Helpless i tell ya!

Opera can just "shut up", they've tried to win users over and failed. If their product was any good then people would be using it. They at least should of equaled Firefox in popularity. (the opera on my iTouch really sucks, i wish i could install another version on it but alas i can't. That's going to be some future lawsuit i bet)

IE7 is a great product, and who says standards are legally enforcable. It should never be law that standards are mandatory to software. If that were ever the case then every, and i mean every, developer will be breaking the law. Let's see you try to comply to every standard out there!!!!

Microsoft have done an amazing job with their OS and other software. If you dont like them then use something else, heaps of alternative software is equally available.

This is the age of choice, stop bitching!!

toritori Opera had more than a 100% increase in desktop revenue in the third quarter of this year. People ARE using it. That's not the point.

The point is Microsoft's anti-competitive practices.

There are antitrust laws, you know, and Microsoft is abusing it dominant position to prevent competition. THIS is illegal even if not following standards isn't.

Use something else? Yeah, sounds like a good idera. My bank ONLY supports MSIE.
