in How to Kill a Honga Rider on 1000 Days
My god man, that is a lot of words. Are you trying to make up for 110 days all at once?

I always forget you were involved in that situation. It was a bad end to a great summer.

Not on topic?
The project plan and his body both told him he'd die before the project was complete. His mind and heart disagreed.
I'm trying to be a chef not a short-order cook.

Hey, you know I am just scuffing your fruit. I am still in awe that you took on this project. I am just helping you keep it real.

Yep. I just mean to point out to me mostly that learning to write better isn't just about putting the Beginning before the Middle and the End after the Middle.
Sometimes it's the nuts and bolts of language that need learnin'

There was no description of feet at the end. Bad writer.

in Giants are to Elephants as Humans are to: on 1000 Days
Rarely do you or I eat all or even most of a cow in a sitting. If your giant were 4x larger than a normal human (I am including myself in this category with a smile) he would simply be able to eat the cow four times as fast, but probably not all in one sitting. I would think cattle could still be a fine source of food unless your giant wanted to buy a bunch of meat at one time and fill up a 4x freezer.
And many trees would still be taller than a 24 foot person (at least here in Illinois). Most street trees top out at 20-30 feet. Maples and Oaks are larger, among others, often reaching 60 feet.

Sure a a cow at 4x consumption provides plenty of resources. I underestimated a bit there. They scale more like deer for a ratio than chickens.
As for the trees I realize that plenty of trees exceed 30 feet. But plenty of bushes and shrubs exceed my height as well. I wouldn't call them majestic or worthy of awe. Which is more what I was going for. As a human, I look at a 30 footer from well below the lowest branches and think, "That's a thing!" An 8 foot bush in my back yard or in my trail with branches starting at my knees makes me think, "That's a thing in my way!" instead.
These giants would dig the Pacific NW.

Good luck.
I like this post. It is writing about what you will be writing instead of writing about why you didn't write. It is looking ahead instead of looking back. A whole new perspective.

@fred I like thinking constructively too. However, you're falling into the same trap I do everyday. Writing about not writing is still writing. Even when I not-write write I still pause to punch up the verbs. I still think may way around my passive voice. I still double check my commas.
It's not interesting content, but I try to make it correctly not interesting.
Let's see how this week goes. And thanks. It's nice to know there are folks out there taking the time to read this at all.

In defense of my past comments, my mention of your lack of continuity was never meant to be critical merely observational.

@fred Yep. You gonna drop me a theme to work with?
A good portion of that is copy and pasted to avoid you having to look around for it to define my context.
