Just like anything else, moderation is overrated. :)

Re: My New Friends, The Sales tax Auditors

Dude, and I thought 9.5% sales tax in TN was bad. I am happy to live here again.

Re: New media has gotten marketing confused

As individuals we are an entire company in one person- bizdev, sales, marketing, CSR, prod development, quality control, janitor, etc. It can be easy to focus to much on one thing. Good thoughts, thanks.

Re: Why I'm Blue

Way to go Scott, I expect to see an awesome new web series shortly based on the Will It Blend idea. Dropping things into the bed of a Ford truck and finding out if it will drive away. Will It Drive?!

Congrats and Buena Suerte!

Re: http://gary.tumblr.com/post/78886386

Don't lie to yourself but also tell the truth to others. Sometimes the toughest thing to do is be honest to someone else about who you are.

I don't know much about wine. I do know why I trust you - because you tell me the truth, for good or bad.

Thanks Gary and keep it spicy!

Re: Who Am I Really

Great people share and help others to share. Thanks for sharing and helping us to share our stories as well. You are the man, enjoy the day.

We are similar in a lot of ways. I am blessed with my Dad's side of the family from Mexico who are all artists/writers/visionary/and crazy people. My Mom's family are carpenters/railroad/ranchers/surfers/ and the most friendly people you will ever meet. My wife is super-smart, can handle any amount of details, and balances a professional sales career with my 2 beautiful, joy-filled daughters.

I love to share new ideas and concepts with others. Telling the story of how new media/technology can change the world is an honor. I am speaking about 10-12 times this year around the country and I am also working on an e-book (really a book proposal in disguise). The flavor of new ideas keeps me up late and in constant communication with my friends all over the place.

Life is good. Keep it spicy Chris and have a GREAT day!

Re: Microsoft’s real competition: Stormhoek

Goliath. My most vivd memory of her is the way she always made everyone feel like they were a member of our family. While in pre-med school, which she wound up becoming a Doctor right before she passed away, she befriended a student from the Ivory Coast at the University of Tennessee. He was blind and had been since he was a child. He became a part of our family and we spent many moments together.

I have a photo where we are all at a roller skating rink and my mother is teaching Roger how to skate. He was zooming around the rink in no time holding on to my mom with one hand and his cane with the other.

I can think of no greater praise to give my mother than that she was always willing to help someone else do the impossible.

Thanks Mom and I love you.

Thanks Robert and God bless you and your mom.

Re: Off to New York…

Hey Robert-

I am at the Streaming Media show as well - I will plan on being at the lunch on Thurs. I hear and generate a lot more variety but I also find myself spending too much time in "snippet" mode and not enough time in 'article" mode.

If you are comfortable with commenting on the news more instead of making it, then keep on doing what you are doing. If it is driving business and results for you then more power to you! I will say that I very rarely read the blog anymore but I don't feel any less connected.

Re: Twittering around the world

Of course the bustling metropolis of Johnson City, TN had a killer tweetup with folks from www.geeksouth.com and others.
