It's definitely an appealing way to report on a developing story. More news services should put their trust in blog-style reporting. :)

Re: Video of the Day: Lil’ Wayne Rap City freestyle

Pretty impressive for what I thought was a semi-talented rapper. Anyone who has any common sense in Chicago really isn't rooting for placement of the Olympics here.
But really, I can't blame the Mayor or the people who are rooting for it; any mayor in The United States sees the Olympics as an opportunity and the people on the South Side (where the stadium would be built) see it as job openings, but aren't realizing the detrimental effects it will have.
I just REALLY hope the Olympics don't come here in 2016 or I might be having to move to what I see as the 2nd city as a Chicagoan - NYC. ;)

Re: Kudos: The Roanoke Times

FYI-
This is a livejournal of a VT student who was presumed to be the shooter (looked alike, LOTS of pictures of guns, sappy breakup entries, etc.). Then he took it upon himself, when his hits got up to over 30,000 in one day, to sort of lead the public on, eventually confessing that it wasn't him, and it wasn't even really a hoax. Very confusing.
