Actually, it CAN run in the background.

If you see in the pictures in the post above, there is a "quick play" option. Turn that option off and it will launch your Safari browser which has plays through there. Since Safari can run in the background, your music plays in the background as well.

Just the app I was looking forward too, as well as others I'm sure - no wonder it went up to the "top apps" list sooooo fast.

The one thing I really liked about the upgrade was that itunes would backup the iphone MUCH faster! In the past it would get really annoying.

So it's clear, you HAVE TO SIGN UP with flycast to get this favourites option. I signed up on their site, but I suppose it is the same if you sign up on the iphone too (they will send a verification email).

Only once you do and you're logged in this icon will show up.

Such incentive sites work very well. Two of the popular ones I heard of is Blingo and Winzy. I've personally won $45 in amazon gift cards on Winzy, and I rarely even use it (mostly referral winnings) :D

That would definitely be a step in the right direction. Paying about $1 with DRM protection is not what most people want these days.

We need something like allofmp3.com ($0.10 songs, depending on format and bit rate) to get more ppl on the legal route (although we know piracy will forever live on) :D

If they do that, ppl will probably just ignore the ones with ads (unless they don't have a choice).

If YouTube paid creators of the video a couple of $ in cpm (from the $20cpm I heard they might charge), some more will probably put the ads up. I know I would.

It seems it only blocks it from searching.

Several alternatives:
- proxy
- use google to search and include torrentspy in the query
- use sites like torrentz.com that indexes other tor sites...in fact, the best option for many.

Many people are turning away from Bell because of many problems, particularly with billing. It started with their phone plans, and now their internet.

I'm currently subscribing to their DSL connection and am supposed to get a 7mb connection. However, I recently got my line tested and noticed it was only around 700-1mb. Yup, they definitely need to spruce up GReader with this feature too. Perhaps they could also implement some sort of filter for the rss feeds so that we only get certain feeds streaming in from all the feeds we subscribe too.

I DON'T think it violates Google's AdSense program.

I believe what Google means by "third-party services such as paid-to-click, paid-to-surf, auto-surf, and click-exchange programs" is programs like 126hits.com -- where traffic is generated automatically by just entering a url in your browser and letting it surf automatically between sites. You then earn credits, which is then used up to display your site -- also automatically. This is fake traffic, meaning the majority of suers don't even notice your site.

The other paid-to programs are similar where users get paid in pennies or credits to visit a site.

Blog Rush is simply a link exchange program, which many people do use to build up links.

Actually, Trainn sites are repeatable, but it is just not worth it. You need approx 2x the amount of referrals for future gifts.

For example, to get a wii system you need 5 referrals. For each subsequent time, you need about 10 referrals for the same gift. Basically, your referral value in slashed in half. So, if you're trading, especially, it's definitely not worth it.

Yup, people always need to think outside the box.

First, for me anyways, was that I didn't like to spend money trading when I like to keep things what they were supposed to be -> free. So I built a site.

Now, if you go to outside places, you will not only keep your trading costs low but also introduce people to the sites in order for this business to sustain with NEW people. Catch my drift? ;)

lol, this was exactly what I was going to write out for your guest posting, but I guess I'll come up with another topic sometime.

Anyways, Craisglist is probably not a good example. Yes, I suppose people do use it (like ebay) but it violates their guidelines and thus your account can get banned. Not only on ebay, but I've heard some people's freebie accounts get placed on hold too.

Another method people use is youtube (and other video sites). Probably not a good idea to include a "walkthrough" though if you do this.

Lastly, links in email signatures are not always allowed, especially not to promotional sites. So be sure to always read the site's terms.

Nicely said! The freebie industry had a couple of scares in the past when major advertisers backed out (I know of at least one big one that caused some freebie sites to close), but if people are good to the networks and behave legitimately (not just seeing this as a "fast money business"), there is a lot of good money to last over the next couple of years.
