That's interesting. I've never heard of the "window" theory, but I like the idea. I guess we do find ways of utilizing technology to see more while risking less. Nothing can ever replace the great outdoors though (hopefully).

I'd side with things being like a science fiction notion gone terribly terribly wrong, though we still seem to be going in that direction.

I'd agree that sometimes just *talking* gets overlooked too often, but I do think that twitter has some interesting possibilities if people use it and don't abuse it. Time will tell though.

I like that one too, though they all make your eyes hurt after a while.

Sorry about the sign up requirement, it's just used as a method of combating spam (no random emails, I promise). Also, I've taken note of the poor use of gray-on-gray (it came with the theme), so I'll work on getting the comment box fixed ASAP (Which is as soon as I can figure out what to change. Any Wordpress theme experts out there?). Cool stuff from the LAFD though, huh?

If you can't tell, for me it's a Mac. My current computer, a PowerBook G4, is the first Apple that I've ever owned, but I'm a definite convert. It's so easy to use, and I have so few problems, that I almost forget how much I struggled in the Windows world. Almost.

That's a really interesting idea. I never thought about the fact that they could embrace the collectability of their glasses and use it to sell more tea. It definitely sounds like something that could work.

I'm always trying to find the most interesting and unique topics to cover, so it's good to hear that the effort isn't going unnoticed. I also hope that the network continues to stretch, and along the way we can do something that will help out others, which is always a good thing.

Oops. I'm very sorry for my mistake, and I've gone through and edited the post to fix things for you. It's funny because I actually debated about what pronoun to use when I was writing the post, since I didn't have a real name to go by, and I couldn't pin the name feuermaus to either a male or a female. I decided to play it safe and stick with male, but obviously I made the wrong choice. I apologize, and thanks again.

That's funny. I'm assuming you mean the blog title in the header, which I didn't realize was missing an apostrophe until you pointed it out. I added the apostrophe when I was designing the title, but some time during the process of changing everything around and modifying the design, the apostrophe got dropped. I'll have to amend that, so thanks for the heads up.
