Did you go inside the museum in the Peace Park?

I found it interesting that you were suprised there were no black-humor souvenirs of the last century in Hiroshima.

Personally I'd rather eat 'deer sh*t' chocolate from Nara than buy a soft-toy atomic baby with no arms. Maybe it's just me.

People in Hiroshima have 'moved on' but there are many who are still physically and mentally suffering the side effects of the bomb. There are also many events held in the Peace Park to protest against atomic bombs and there petitions for compensation from those dropped in Japan.

Your comments just made me realise how different things appear as a tourist.

I was expressing my opinion that I was interested in what you said. Hiroshima is close to my heart since I've lived there and have been to the museum and talked to survivors.

DIfferent things affect different people. Your post motivated me to write a comment. As did my comment cause you to comment.

I think that Pearl Harbour and Hiroshima and Nagasaki all had casualties. I don't think any is less sad than the other.

You're so lucky to be travelling around Micronesia. Palau is one of my favorite places. Definitely somewhere to go after nearly freezing in Korea.
