I had around 20 LDs at the time DVDs starting getting popular, so I upgraded my old player to the Pioneer DVL-919 so I could play both. Before then I had only access to playing DVDs via a DVD-ROM drive I bought on auction for my PC.

It lasted me for years until it started having problems reading some DVDs and I chose not to fix it. Both it and my crate of Laserdisc titles are in storage in my basement right now, probably because I just was too lazy to sell them off when they were actually worth something, like I did with my original LD player.

Re: Another Take On Day Of The Dead, Plus Win Your Own Copy!

I'll give it a fair shot if I win, so count me in too!

Re: Do You Smell Something? I mean my older DVRs are set to record and extra 10-30 minutes on some shows just in case because I've been burned by this before. Unfortunately when I get DVRs from some providers it is harder to do than on my old ReplayTV, but still usually possible.
Unless they change up the schedule completely. Then I'm screwed anyways, since the guide is usually not up-to-date with those decisions.
