in Indigo Girls at Lewis Ginter on Random Musings
Oh, that sounded like a fun concert! I'm jealous you guys got to go- I really like the Indigo Girls, and Lewis Ginter is right next to my parents house! They said they could hear the concert from their porch that night. I would certainly have been there if it had been a month or so earlier instead the day before my due date. I glad you guys had a good time!

hadar I didn't realize your folks live so close. It was our first time driving through that neighborhood, and Lois and I were very impressed by how beautiful it is!

We're all waiting for the "good word" from you in the coming weeks! :-)

Wow, that link was exactly what I was looking for... I just heard that Kenny Chesney's playing a concert in Raleigh, but I thought it would be too expensive; the link posted in the last comment has prices $15 cheaper than I had seen before. I still think $120 is too much to charge for 2 people to sit on the grass, but it's better than $150 for sure. Thanks!
And Hadar, that's certainly a weird thing about the tickets, but I'm happy you guys will get to go to the concert after all! It sounds like it'll be a lot of fun, and I'll look forward to your review :)

hadar Cool! Interestingly enough, I consider the comment above yours to be on the "spammish" side. If it had come in to me before I switched to Disqus, I wouldn't have approved it. I realize that it was written by a human, who at least had the courtesy to attach it to a post that was related to the specific artist he was promoting, but it's really a "commercial" comment.

I decided not to delete it after the fact, just because it was at least "on point". Now I'm very glad I left it up, and that it helped you out! :-)

We're heading to another concert tonight, which I'll write about tomorrow morning. ;-)

in Discovering Stephen Bennett on Random Musings
Oh I'm sorry to hear that Stephen Bennett is so sick... we saw him play at the Williamsburg public library back in 2002, and he really is a great musician. We have his CD "Pictures" too, which has a really nice sound. Brendan and I had just started dating when we went to this concert and I remember being excited at the idea of a "harp-guitar," which I could hardly imagine!

hadar Howdy! The first time I ever saw a harp guitar was Michael Hedges on YouTube (sadly, he passed away at a very young age). It's a gorgeous instrument, that I imagine is hard to play, but both Stephen Bennett and Michael Hedges have mastered it.

Oh, now I can't have you guys thinking we didn't enjoy To Catch a Thief! I admit I was kind of falling asleep, but that's nothing against Hitchcock :) I was thinking about the movie the whole evening and trying to think of who the Cat would turn out to be- we should have known it was the jealous french girl!
