Therefore, by definition the CBC is supposed to use their own judgment. For that reason, I do not fault them for voting their own views.  It was not treachery, it was politics.&lt;/br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/br&gt;&lt;br&gt;HOWEVER... now that they HAVE exercised 'their own judgment', they need to stand up and take the consequences of their decisions -- and stop whining about the anger of their constituents.  They knew the deal when they deliberated over their votes.&lt;/br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/br&gt;&lt;br&gt;They made their beds and should now lie in it.  &lt;/br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Barack, in my estimation, was the better candidate, period. It had nothing to do with race for me.&lt;/br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/br&gt;&lt;br&gt;It is not right or fair to expect people to vote purely or even mostly in racial solidarity - that is how we got so many crappy black mayors. &lt;/br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/br&gt;&lt;br&gt;They need to stop begging Barack for a handout, and start putting something on the table for their constituents -- the CBC must give the people a REASON to let them keep their literal and metaphorical seats.&lt;/br&gt;</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">SheCodes</dc:creator><pubDate>Thu, 12 Jun 2008 21:52:00 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
