Funny you should say that about Wired. The last issue (16.07) was so interesting I ended up buying a few copies to pass around so as not to circulate my copy! I also stumbled upon this Wired creative director interview which I thought was interesting:

Fred: it is very simple: running is your answer. I know you received over a hundred comments about what to do. Forget about all the comments that are not centered on running. Running is your answer. And if you really need to combine it with something else you can add some biking (mountain biking preferably). You got any running shoes around? Grab them and get outside. Now.

What am I doing while taking a 3 day break in Mexico City? Reading Start Up North. It is that addictive! Listen if you are planning on doing something the night before the conference starts that's going to conflict with the mesh speakers dinner (organized by mesh) and that means that few speakers/partners etc would attend the start up party. Perhaps that's ok, but I think the party could be a nice way to get the mesh "speakers" to get connected to the TO start up community - even if whoever goes to the start up party does not end up going to mesh.

Great to see continuous additions to startupnorth and the startupindex. I for one would find it interesting to find out about startups in areas of Canada I am not familiar with. Matthew: this is really fantastic! from Matt Raymond, the Library of Congress chief blogger: "One of our goals, frankly, is to learn as much as we can about that power simply through the process of making constructive use of it." I believe that people with interest in these photographs will tag them best they can, the Library of Congress will review the tags as their stated goal is to see if these tags and classification can actually feed back into the Library of Congress catalog. We trust they won't be doing this blindly!

I used to play goalie (soccer and handball) and I loved it because: the buck stopped with me. I was the last defense mechanism for the team and there wasn't a better feeling in the world. Nothing can replace the "you have to get past me bro' to score" and I am going to make it as hard as hell. You just keep on trying and trying and trying. I miss it! Keep on trucking!
