Why would a downgrade for Cali trigger downgrades for other states?

California is only the first domino to fall in this chain. Not only being the largest GDP contributor to the US, but the 8th largest economy in the world. I think what Tyler means is that this episode with California is just going to outline the difficulties that all other states are going to feel and experience as they run into revenue lapses.
