Beautiful. I have a special connection to this town since my late grandfather was held here as a POW during World War II with his missionary parents. He spent about 4 years in an internment camp in Baguio until he was liberated. I have a Baguio tapestry that my grandfather got from there when he went back for a reunion about 20 years ago.

When you get back to the States, you'll probably have to check Fogo de Chão, a chain of Brazilian steakhouses - there's one in Minneapolis that I know Matt Gress has been to, as well as one here in Chicago that I've visited.

My grandfather was held in Baguio during World War II as a POW - he was a teenage son of a couple of missionaries living in the Phillipines during that time. He attended the so-called Brent School under the auspices of the Japanese internment. He dealt with the hardships quite well, though I'll never know the full extent of them, of course.
