in Why Apple’s ‘Billion Apps Downloaded’ countdown is a lie on ithinkdifferent
Read the contest rules. The Billion app is based on Apple's servers the countdown is an estimation and is updated hourly. The timer uses a linear rate between updates based on the last update from the server. http://www.apple.com/autopush/us/itunes/include.... The most recent data
22-APR-2009 08:00:00|993434946|203999. The key date/time |number of downloads |download rate per hour.
Based on the current rate we have about 32.18179501 hours left in the contest. My guess is the rate will pick-up significantly when we get within the last couple hours so this time tomorrow start buying Apps to win limit 25

Yes, you can burn the songs to a CD and import them back into iTunes, but the quality of the tracks will deteriorate. Can yoou explain how a digital copy deteriorates. You can select any level of compression for you CDs when imported into Itunes including lossless. The digital copy will still be no better then the original, but it will not introduce additional loss from the original.

in What 3G iPhone Feature Set will Satisfy Apple Investors? on Investor in the Wilderness
Zach an investor is not in my definitionva daytrader so the longs should not worry about features as much as price. If the phone is priced competitively in each market, it will sell well. That includes hardware/contract. Features on most phonesother than the iPhone are never used by most, so new capabilities like video chat are not going to drive a new purchase since the majority of people can't visualize how they would use it. The sdk and enterprise features will do the trick.
