People need to learn how bureaucrats function and how the systems work in order to protect themselves and their loved ones in the future. I think that colleges and Universities should teach courses in this matter.

What most people don't know is that many Fed, state, and local vehicles which were purchased after Chrysler's bailout were in fact Chrysler products. So, "We the People" paid for the bailout in the long run. I'm sure that the political hacks put the pressure where they could in order to cause the various levels of government to "Buy Chrysler".

I don't think we will ever get out from under the thumb of big government.

The sad thing is that unelected people are trying to validate there jobs under the guise of public safety.

I live in New Jersey, USA; and in our state they have instituted enterprise zones. There are 2 of these zones within 30 minutes of where I live. I have not seen any improvement in those areas in any economic way. Granted that these "zones" may be different from what you may be talking about, but there intent was the same. They tried to stimulate local economies so that they would grow and prosper. To date those "zones" appear to be no better off than they were 10 years ago.

It seems to me that others take advantage of the "zones" and those within the "zones" benefit very little. Just my 2 cents, which isn't worth much in this day and age.

Bachman is as intelligent as she is attractive. This is one of the few times I have heard any of our legislators tally up the handouts and to then proceed to ask the question of what assurance we have that this money isn't being wasted. The politicians love to elaborate with their "words of wisdom", but they rarely make sense. She made a common sense, easy to understand statement that deserves common sense easy to understand answers.

Will out politicians ever get it???
