And that isn't even all of them. Bumpzee & SpicyPage are also good social networks. I'm working on a contact system for my blog that worked like a threaded discussion. It will be a private thread and not public. But I like the idea of a public thread tracking system.

BeachBum

Re: Comment Spam Explained

Nice post.

Just kidding. I know there is a plugin for Wordpress that is supposed to have a field that shows on the screen, but not when scraped like the spammers do. I haven't used it yet. For my other blogs I just turn moderation on. This works for me anyway as I want to be in touch with my commenters and email them or post a reply to their comment.

BeachBum

Re: How To Blog Effectively

Nice post. The content doesn't match your image. It would have been nice to see an image being built as you got to each section of your post.

I think be yourself is very important. But first, well done, I like this idea.
1) I follow a blog schedule. This makes posting so much easier as I already have a set theme for the day and topic for the week. This also keeps me from gettign stuck without anything to write.
2) There is a flaw in the posting frequency test. Or at least some missing data. Where did this traffic come from? I say this because I have found that there frequency is less important than title. I found that using the right words in my post titles helps drive traffic up. My traffic source is Google searches, so I can match without a doubt what I am doing to the traffic increase.

BeachBum

Re: Link Sharing: 7/9/07

I don't think that I even made the "B" list. I am guessing by portable you are referring to sites like twitter.

I think going mobile with social networks will benefit local business more then internet surfers. Small groups of friends may try it out, but in the end I think mixing portable and land based social networks will fail.

BeachBum

Re: How A Blogger Can Keep 100% Revenue Generated From Text-Link or Paid Review

Sounds good. Only problem is how are you going to get the big advertisers unless you have the traffic. The method you described works for ProBlogger because he already has advertisers wanting to pay him directly. So for small blogs the middleman does what they cannot.

BeachBum

Re: How to calculate blog reach & influence?

I would put inbound hotlinks as #1.
