people want A service that's reliabe. And they will always be looking for the perfect service. Personally I use twitter and pownce. But looking out at other new stuff like plurk.

Hmm everyone is trying to beat iTunes these days. But the truth is how will this be better than services like snocap which is not as good as iTunes itself.
Also the iTunes+iPod combo is hard to beat.
