Looking at the Comscore traffic data, it's inspiring to see that Glam has outgrown traditional media and social network giants like FOX, ABC, and Facebook, but it's not the least bit surprising.

Samir has put together a rockstar team that clearly understands the complex dynamics of blogosphere, to get advertisers and bloggers to work together. Although the CPMs are great, it’s actually the relationship managers like Julieta Alvarado, who makes me proud to be part of this #1 women’s network. Glam truly does their best to ensure that bloggers in their network succeed.

I'm not sure of the other sites you mentioned, but Stylehive is it's own social network. In 2006 they received acquired about $3 million in funding from Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Not too bad of a design, but I feel more work could've been put into the "branding" element. There's not much in terms of a logo besides a bold font face.

I was using the service for a quite a few months when Techcrunch blogged about it:

Unfortunately, there's not enough users on this site. Even being on the homepage for weeks at a time did nothing to boost my traffic.

Unless it becomes adopted heavily like Digg, it'll never gain traction.

The geographic location feature is great, but I still wish there was a better overall traffic ranking tool. Google's toolbar would be so much more accurate!
