As of this morning, mine is in the boxing stage, finally! Customer service rep says it will ship in 2 or 3 business days. I'm hoping to have Friday but I can survive until Monday if I know it shipped Friday anyway. I hope it's perfect out of the box because I need this nightmare to end!

If you ordered your Mini and it is delayed, check your version of Acrobat. If you have Acrobat 9 Multi Language listed, you're order is going to be cancelled and you will have to place it all over again. I placed my original order on 9/12 and waited, checking the phone status line periodically to see where it was. Called on 9/23 and it said my order was cancelled -- no warning or notice, just cancelled. Managed to get hold of someone to tell me my order had been redone but was on hold. Got it off hold on 9/25 and it is supposed to be expedited but I have heard nothing but "build stage" from the phone status line since. I guess expedite doesn't mean what it used to.

Ordered mine 9/12 evening, estimated shipping 9/29, estimated delivery 10/2. Called to check status yesterday and the recording said it was cancelled. Being after closing, I was frustrated to have to go through several people to find out it was cancelled and reentered because the version of Acrobat Reader wasn't available. Pushed my estimated ship date to 10/20 with overnight shipping, estimated delivery 10/21. They said they'd expedite build and get it shipped asap but I'll believe that when I see it. I'm just a bit livid.

I ordered mine on 9/12 as well. Had a glidge submitting the order but managed to get it submitted before closing 9/12. Still shows in production with expected ship date of 9/29. I guess my Alpine White, 1GB, 16GB SSD, 1.3MP Camera with Bluetooth isn't one of the lucky configurations. Boo hoo!

Woooo Hoooooo~! I'm so tired of trolling the internet daily looking for news of this. Just release it or tell us when it will come out.

According to a Dell employee's post on Idea Storm, E is not the name of these small laptops; it will actually be Dell Inspiron Mini.

I think it's ingenious. These keyboards have to be so small to fit the form factor and weight. I think it's great that someone is doing something different with the keyboard rather than just shrinking it. I will wait to see how the Dell shakes out before I buy.

Yea. Asus needs to work on it's customer service. I had one for about 3 weeks before I sold it. Their customer service didn't seem to understand english, couldn't answer my questions and just wanted to close my case when they were tired of trying to communicate with me, without regard to whether the problem was solved. I sold it on eBay for a loss.
