This wine sounds fabulous, I must get over there to try it (never seen it in the U.K.) The price (Euros 28?) is so cheap as to be unreal. Given the relatively high price of the `basic` wines from Rias-Baixes this level seems remarkably low. Is Adrienne a wine writer? if so she would know about the work, skill and risks that go into a wine like this. If the area was better known world wide then the price would double! Also sorry to hear oeneologists talking poppy cock! If the grapes are affected by Botrytis Cynerea then the wine is a noble rot wine. Full Stop. The fact that they smell and taste different in different areas of the world is the `Joy of Wine` The grape variety, soil and winemaker all make a difference too. VIVE LA DIFFERENCE! (On a similar tack:- Shame that Ygay whites are no longer made in the time honored fashion, the market place won`t take wines that taste too different and only the family owned Tondonia is left to carry the flag!)

I have drunk these wines in Spain and England in the last 3 or 4 years. They are all of very high quality and superb value. I really must do a winery tour there!

Just returned from visit there with a party from my wine club `Temperance Ten` This is our 26th year of overseas wine tours. None the less we all thought the museum was magic and needed far more time to absorb it all. One of the best and most informative visits anywhere. If you are even remotely interested in wine, crafts, geography, history, culture you will love this. Highly recommended, the meal was good too (the wine was of very good standard but not a `super star` of Rioja)T he grounds are lovely too, nice vines, views and the shopping was excellent!!
