We got a free preview the month I moved in, but now it's gone and I can't get it back no matter who I talk to.

Re: Master Boot Record (MBR) Fix and Repair | Windows | Tech-Recipes

Guest... your hard drive is pooched.
Sorry.

Re: Just bought this poster. I guess it also depends on whether LAN parties count, and or other gaming sessions.

Re: Project Plan

Hurray. I was surprised that you seemed to be taking the "big bang approach" - as if your page being "120% bigger than your browser width" was somehow a motivator to get more work done :)

Re: Prioritization

Okay claw&KC;,

I was reading Claw's comment, and laughed. Then I read KC's comment, and laughed even harder, funny funny funny.

Then H. heard me laughing and said "What's so funny" and I got about 3 seconds into the explanation and realized that we're all really badly geeked out because there was no way I was going to be able to explain it to H. and get her to laugh along (though she might laugh at).

Re: All Hail the Horizontal Scroll, it is Dead

Aye - I noticed the recent comments feature. Was trying to figure out how to iteratively integrate that type of functionality.

It seems that you'd want some type of micro-content beyond the date and name of the person posting, but what that would be I'm not sure. I wonder if there's an aesthetic way to include 20 words about the comment. Well - very cool!

Re: Back to School Special

Congrats Kev - that is awesome. I've thought about getting a Masters myself. Still waiting for somebody to offer a Masters degree in Game Design.

Re: Always Coca-Cola

Best way to drink pop/soda: At an A&W; Restaurant, drinking A&W; Root Beer, straight from one of those giant frosted mugs.

Re: 100 Things About Me

Wow - lots of things I didn't know about you. However over recent years they've become better and Arc'Teryx is now one of several companies that makes products out of recycled Capilene.

Main idea though is to not totally condemn all outdoor companies as being socially and environmentally despicable which slightly comes through in the article but then is made even more present when you have a picture of another company's product. Patagonia is a wonderfully environmentally and socially responsible company and a leading manufacturer of outdoor equipment and clothing.

=== author's response follows ===

Chose this shot simply because the name had that dinosaur like quality I was looking for to symbolize the use of fossil feedstock.

It seems you have laid out the positives of this unrelated company and given tribute where it belongs. Given that, do you feel it would it be ok to leave it up, or is it a must change issue in your view?

We certainly understand that some outdoor gear companies are working on sustainable designs and supply chains ... the post gave Patagonia as one example of that... and we did not mean to imply anything about the maker of the pictured product.

The main point of the post is that green outerwear designs, in general, have a long way to go before they achieve dominant presence at mainstream retailers.

The faster this changes, the better. May Arc'Teryx lead the way!
