in noodad » 10 Great Ways to Lower Your Sperm Count on Noodad
Matt,

It is you who are being insensitive to the problem of toofertility. Toofertility is a problem in our society and leads to extreme fatigue, back pain and Muppetism.

By the way, this is actually an article on how to protect your fertility. we're not making fun of anyone (except for you).

in noodad » The Best Present for Father’s Day on Noodad
Rob, I can't agree on the sentiment of the article. In fact, I'm feeling a little ill after my first reading. I do not think you meant for this to happen to you; I am sure you had nothing but good intentions, but here is what I see:

Basically, the reporter has written a story about your third choice for having a kid.

I'm sickened they printed your donations and other "costs" in the story and that they rolled it up to a number. No kid deserves that.

I hope it is an article that Liam never reads.

On a positive note:

I am glad that you are incorporating as much Russian culture into your family as you can. It is really great that you are open to embracing it and that you want Liam to understand his roots. These are now the roots of your family.

Adoption is awesome. It "injects" personality, emotions, hopes, goals and dreams into your family that would not have otherwise been there. Your family is taken in directions that it might not have otherwise gone and I hope that you will tell people about those things when they ask you about adoption. The more time you spend with Liam and once the novelty of "wow! I just adopted a kid from another country" wears off, you will see what I mean.

in noodad » A Dog / Kids Dilemma: What about Boone? on Noodad
The dog snapped at their son an they are at a CROSSROADS? Don't wait until Boone snaps the kid's face off. Boone needs to go.

Tim, don't take this the wrong way, but people like you scare the pants off of me. The soft language (not to mention the wacky spelling, grammar and word usage) you are using like "subserviant to two legged critters" and "we're always suprised when our laid-back lab let's our little one know their being irritating" when referring to incidents with animals is shocking to me. Bottom line is that you do not know what is going on in an animal's mind. If the pet gives you a warning sign, take the sign! Act!

If your dog is bigger than the kid and shows a sign that they would harm the kid, you need to make other arrangements for the animal. It's a no brainer. No dog and healthy kid > dog and mauled kid.

in noodad » The Top 10 Events That Make You A Real Dad on Noodad
This is a great list Noodad, and I'm sure you are not intentionally disrespecting the dads who cobble it together at work everyday and then rush to the hospital to be with their sick kids who may never see a little league game. Are they not "real dads"? Maybe they are a level above dad? Perhaps "Hero".

in noodad » The 10 Things I Miss Most From the Non-Kid Days on Noodad
I miss the daily backyard pickup sports. Soccer, Football and Baseball were the big three for my crew. When was the last time you played 2 on 2 or 3 on 3 baseball with "pitcher's poison"? Which by the way was also known as "pitcher's paradise" by the more optimistic sallies on the east side of South Willoughby. We usually played with a tennis ball so that we did not kill the windows. We'd alternate between Nerf and real footballs and soccer balls too. Good times.

Nerf used to be THE brand for kid's sports. Now its all about geeks and darts. Oh well. It's only one letter off of nerd.

William,

Thanks a lot for taking the time. I think that Noodad asked you #8 because about 4 months prior to the birth of his 3rd, I came up with a brilliant idea to have him take the hormones so that he could lactate. We were going to have a whole reality series around it and although he knows it would have given us 100,000 hits a day, he would not take one for the team.

I hope the book details how you got out of the BRU situation.

in noodad » Noodad’s Snowblower Etiquette on Noodad
This may be the law for families like yours who live out in the wilderness, but for us city slickers, it's throw as throw can. Sure, it is important to be respectful of your neighbors, but if their backyard is the only viable option for clearing our your driveway, then throw your snow there. As long as the snow is not impeding their progress or risking a flood in their basement when it melts, put your snow there.

When I owned a 2 family in Belmont, MA, I had a long, narrow driveway with no yard. Literarlly I had NO yard. My driveway was split with the neighbors by a metal fence and my house was pretty long and took up most of the driveway. I had to start at the back, blow what little snow I could behind the small space behind my garage and some over the fence into the neighbor's back yard. Then I would proceed to blow snow from the back of the driveway to the front and onto the treelawn, where I would pile it in massive drifts. This would have taken forever if not for my trusty late 70s Ariens 8hp.

My neighbor never used the back half of his driveway, only the front. So I would snow blow the bottom of his driveway and his sidewalk, including the walkway so that he and his tennants could get out. I would blow some of my snow into the back half of his driveway as he never even showed an inkling of need to plow that out. In the 2 years that I lived there, we never even spoke about the snow. I just did my thing and he did his. One winter there was literally 18 inches in a 24 hour period. I plowed out half the neighborhood that day.

I think your rules for snow throwing can apply when you have purple mountains majesty, fruited plains and miles of green grazing land on your property like you do, but come to my house after a 12 inch dumping and see how that works for you.

This is similar to my snowblower except mine is 10 years older and 8 horses. http://www.geocities.com/theseventhfirst/ariens...

Amen brother Noodad!!!

Vernor's is #1.
Squirt is my #2.
I like Birch Beer a lot too, but can't think of a good specific brand.

The best part about Vernor's as Noodad pointed out is that fizz makes you sneeze or almost choke a little. The taste is powerful, but in a fun way, not like those awful persimmons I see people eating.

Rocky? I'd rather have the Indiana Jones box set.

The Gadget dad probably wants
Garmin Nuvi 300 series or 600 series.
iPod touch
Also just because he has a Wii doesn't mean you can't surprise him with an XBOX 360 or a PS3... Just spent the extra few bucks and don't get the smallest PS3. It does not play PS2 or PS1 games like the others do.
