I wouldn't give up my macbook pro for any sort of thinkpad. Ubuntu can't be that good.

Nice! You'll enjoy it. Although I would have waited until Monday to see what Mr. Jobs had for all of us. Rumors were the MacbookPro's would get upgraded with the Core 2 Duo.

Aperture is your answer :D Super fast previewing of RAW files, handles most of your adjustments, but can also "right click" and send to photoshop. Although I don't open photoshop nearly as much anymore.

I think there is a flickr plugin as well.. sounds like a cool use of Automator (I have yet to find one).

I've been using it since the 1st beta. It works very well and I can share VM images with the rest of my coworkers (who are PC people). That was the main selling point for me. Works well on both my MacPro and macbookpro.

I haven't installed the final version yet though.
