in Facebook: Slow and Unresponsive, Again? on Mashable - The Social Media Guide
Extremely slow and has been for weeks. I have around a thousand friends but not sure how this affects things. It certainly shouldn't do! It's getting to where I hate going on there now and seriously consider quitting completely.

in How Many Social Networking Friends Do You Have? on Marketing Pilgrim
Very interesting statistics and I would definitely have thought that women would have more friends. From my experience on Facebook they are without doubt the most active.
I have over 1000 LinkedIn connections and have just gone over the 1000 mark on Facebook today. Most of these people I don't know, though I am making real friends too.
Next I'm going to try MySpace. I have no real reason to do all this online networking yet, but I'm sure it will come to me eventually!

in What it Felt Like to Have No Blog for 8 Days on Chris Brogan
Good to see you back Chris.

As a web developer I always try to sell the idea of running a blog in tandem with a company's main site. Sadly, but understandably this is usually seen as the web design guy try to make a bit more money.

Apart from the benefits you've already outlined, the absolute killer reason to have a blog in my opinion is because search engines love them. This is especially important for a new domain and website. What other way can you get a new site to be indexed by Google within 7 days?

And for all my enthusiasm about blogs I've only recently created a personal one, with a primary view to tie together all my 'spaces' into one handy base station. Oh and I used your old theme, so I'm glad to see you've changed it!
