Blu-ray isn't Betamax as many say, it will truly be a format that people use. It has so many advantages over Microsoft and Nintendo. Over the Xbox 360, PS3 will have motion detection in the controllers, a 60 GB HD, blu-ray playing (those will cost 700+ when they come out), exclusivity in games, better processor, and the fan base. I can't wait.

Re: Gasoline Prices Cut 25 Percent…

If the US eliminates the gas tax involved and lowers the environmental standards to a low level, prices would probably be around 1.50. Saudi doesn't have taxes...

Also, he's only doing this 'till December. I think it's pretty logical. Less spending at the pump, more spending by the public on everything else to better the economy.

Re: Sony PS3 Pics

PlayStation 3 is going to be great. I didn't see it myself but I think it was an awesome gesture from Google. Google has publicly shown their support for Firefox and they even used it during the Keynote at the 2006 CES.

Great stuff.

Re: UN Elects Human Rights Abusers To Human Rights Council

I like the fact Saudi Arabia was elected. It has a country that has made great leaps in the human rights area of society. The Government has raised raised awareness on physical abuse in general through targeted campaigns. It has also initiated organizations to aid in that effort.

There's some horrible bias in the global media these days and people are just not getting the full story.

Re: Videodownloader Firefox extension

You said it...flv format. I hate that format. I can't find a free application to convert the flash to a conveniently played video format. All the ones I've found are shareware.
I do love how it allows you to download the Google Video embedded content in avi format.
