I think it is awesome that the PS3 requires a DEFENSE FORCE. I imagine a huge propaganda machine to give any reason, any reason what so ever, to own a PS3.

Every side uses science and statistics to back up its position, one hopes that in the end the truth eventually prevails.

That being said I have my own experience, and I have to agree with this taking exception letter. I believe the wage gap is an ongoing story from the sixties, as do the majority of my women friends. While it may have been true 40 years ago, it is now a flashy "news item" that perpetuates a female victim mentality rather than the truth.

I have hired women, have taken over jobs held by women, and have had them take over jobs from me. All of them were paid the same salary as their respective colleagues working the same job, be they male or female.

If women were indeed paid nearly 25% less than men, as an employee I would only hire women and save a lot of money!

That is clearly not happening in my field, nor any other field that I know of. Equal pay for equal work. Who really questions that in today's workplace?

Who cares I agree. Kirk will win by 20%. Have we not learned our lesson from 2002 and 2004 folks? July polls are not serious and are very flawed. Go on vacation and do not worry about polling until after Labor Day. In July 2004 Kerry was going to Crush Bush and the Democrats would take back congress. Rich Miller will tell you that all these races will tighten in October, and Charlie Cook and other pollsters base there Summer findings on Generic polls.

Facts, 55% to 45% is still a double digit win. Considering Kirk won his first term against Gish by 51 to 49, that is pretty good. Lauren Beth Gish was a strong candidate with big $$$$ in a Democratic leaning open seat. Kirk won because of Jon Porter's endorsement. Seals is not a serious candidate sorry. He has no buzz or traction.

Kirk's support of the war does not hurt him in the very Pro-Israel 10th district. He also is a pilot in the National Guard and expert on Military Matters. I was downtown when Mark Kirk spoke at the Pro Israel rally and was loudly cheered and respected.

Kirk's 2000 opponent Lauren Beth Gash raised over 2 Million , and was a local state Senator with strong Support from Emily's list. She was a strong DEM CANDIDATE in a Dem Leaning Open Seat district and still lost to Mark Kirk. Seals has never held elective office. He is toast.

Facts of Life, it is obvious that you are a staffer or volunteer for Seals, which is fine. But pipe dreams about defeating Mark Kirk are not going to happen. We heard this spin about Goodman in 2004, and it was just a phony war. Kirk is a moderate pro choice Republican who will keep the seat for 20 years like his GOP mentor John Porter. Good luck to you.

I really appreciate all the info. I don't know anyone personally who understands charting or the market for that matter, whom I can turn to for advice or tips. Within the past week I feel like I have learned a ton. It was pure luck that I clicked on the link you posted on one of the yahoo boards, now I have it set as a favorite and check it multiple times each day. Also I find I learn much quicker with real-time / real-life examples than I do reading books (I'm too restless). Bottom line - Thank you for all the time you put into this, it's made a huge difference for at least one person.
