Great post. Regarding the evangelism term, used in non-religious context, I've noticed some geeks are quite obsessed with another religious term - canonical. Yep, every language in use is dynamic, continuously evolving.

Funny? Nope. It's a laughter to Apple's face since the testing took place on Mac OS X platform, using Webkit benchmark. What an irony.

I'm curious too. Since the TB's been spun off, hope the E8 will succeed.

No need to learn how to make a new search plugin. Open Search Fox makes it for you.

On Tabs, as I perceive it, the main reason for the outlined improvement is to save some UI real estate allowing for more tabs to be open.
Well, the idea is nice especially when your "browsing behaviour" consists of jumping from site to site. But when working with multiple tabs of same site, it becomes a bit cumbersome and what's more, it still doesn't allow for drag'n'droping between two tabs.

Well, documenting of any project is a MUST if the project is to be used by humans. Anyway, I completely agree with bodensatz. Sun had IMO quite on time realized this issue and created doc comments in Java. I just wonder what processes, technologies and paterns are in use by Mozilla Doc team.
Congrats Eric.
