Great post, Tom! I just used this for my Eee PC and it worked great! As a note, the Eee PC liked having my USB drive using the FAT16 file system. Check out gparted if you need to reformat your USB drive to accommodate FAT16.

Tell me about it - I've struggled myself to keep up any writing recently. Up until the New Years, I hadn't written much in ages - it's only recently that I'm getting back into it a bit more, I feel more willing to do it recently.
And anyway, at the end of the day, the blog is secondary to more better ways of communications like email, or even better phone, or better again, face to face!

While removing smoke, which would allow people to escape and firefighters to work, the tornado should also remove the rising heat. If you've ever watched videos of a fire in progress, it's the superheated air and vapors that gather near the ceiling that allow a fire to flash over and spread quickly. I assume that this has been considered and tested of course. If not then it's always possible that the thick vapors and extreme heat will disrupt the tornado effect, though it could serve to magnify it too.

I wonder I wonder if the great thinkers of our age were raised only on the reading inherent in history and math books?  It would be such a loss of depth of experience to enforce this.  I like history, and I can barely stand to read my son's American history textbook.  Imagine if your experience of food was reduced to reading cook books, that is what restricting reading to text books would be.

Gillade verkligen idén med att rektorn använder en blogg för att slippa kommunens tråkiga IT avdelning. Jobbar själv som Elevrådstjänsteman på Malmös Elevråd (malmoselevrad.se) och vi har några elevråd som marknadsför sin verksamhet via bilddagboken.se (är lite som en blogg). Funderar på om man ska tipsa dem om att börja blogga och kanske rektorerna också.

Gary, you'll have to forgive your readers for coming to the conclusion that you are somewhat dim-witted when you state that your #2 reason for not wanting to buy a Mac is "The mouse has only one button." and then you point out that you already have in your posession the mouse of your dreams, a five-button mouse which is comatible with any Mac you might choose to buy. Heck, if you bought a Mac Mini, you couldn't even complain that you were being stuck with a useless one-button mouse, since it doesn't come with a mouse. In other words, your #2 reason for not wanting to buy a Mac is nonsensical.
