Once you identify the main competitors, do a followup search on site:(competitorurl) and you'll see how many pages are on that site. That gives you the second factor you need to be aware of to figure out how to compete effectively.

Re: Friday’s Food For the Soul

We all need more five minutes like that!

Re: Do You Want a Guest Post?

Hey Jacob...by all means, be our first guest...let me know when you want to contribute. Just had to replace my laptop battery, so came back to Twitter to find this post. Looks like I'm cool and my laptop needs to stay cool.

The captcha for this post is pain and Princeton. A programmer alumni, no doubt.

Re: The Rise of the Long-Tail Keyword

I would bet that 8-word search strings are mostly a) people looking for the source of a story, b) checking for sites that have scraped your content, c) trying to access very specific technical support information. From a marketing perspective, none of these are prospects.

Re: Social Media Marketing An Hour A Day: Dave Evans

An hour a day is an excellent recommendation...very practical approach from someone who really knows his stuff. I have gotten good results from participating in LinkedIn and Twitter, and an hour is just about what it takes...and all the time I can spare, anyway! Great interview, thanks!
