in What are the odds that a modern marriage that lasts 50 years has two completely faithful people? on Weddings and Travel
My parents have been married nearly 50 years and married in 1960.

They swear they have both been faithful, although both of them have had offers.

They're not deformed! In fact, I think most people would describe them as attractive people.

in Twitter and Social Networks Usher in a New Era of Social CRM on Brian Solis
Brian,

I so enjoy your posts, and this one is no exception. Our community and team have been discussing social CRM in great depth for a while now, for so many of the reasons you've eloquently outlined.

"This is about becoming the customer you want to embrace."

It's not enough to listen. It's not even enough to engage. It's really about fostering your *own* participation and contributions to the community you wish to tap. It's authenticity not in its buzzword form, but in the truest sense of practicing what you preach.

It's not about mechanizing interactions, it's finding ways to streamline the process and leaving the door wide open for the human elements to emerge.

Great to finally say a brief hello at SXSW, and hope next time we can chat more.

Cheers,

Blue Chi - I sure hope that this helps things out here. For a society that wants to be more progressive and cultured I was extremely surprised by the lack of fine arts knowledge. I visited a museum and saw some interesting dances being done by fishermen...that is about as much as I have found so far...and it was ALL men in every dance clip.

Oman isn't the only society that looks upon actresses with the same eye as a prostitute. England used to not allow any actors/actresses to even be buried in a proper cemetary. But, that was a long long time ago.

I really appreciate your thoughts on this topic. Thanks for keeping us up to date. I have a master's in theatre and was hoping to do some research into Omani theatre...but once I got here I found there wasn't much.

in Why I Drink O’Doul’s…Don’t Laugh on The Epic Beat Blog
If beer is not alcoholic.. then why drink it at all? -- I believe your answer was two part; tradition and taste.

Although I have never drank non alcoholic beer and can not comment on the taste, it is still a little funny you drink it for the taste.

The reason why cheap beer has to be so cold to drink is to cover up the taste, I suspect the same is true for O'Doul's.

I think a rich root beer like Henry Weinhards that has a bit of a hoppy taste to it would be a tastier alternative to non alcoholic beer. I can guarantee the taste is far superior, and I think it will remind you of the frothy, hoppy tradition of tippin' one back after the end of a long day. In light of the better tasting alternative of hand crafted, always non alcoholic root beer, why would anyone subject themselves to drinking the unnatural substance of a non alcoholic beer?

In conclusion, it is a little funny you drink non alcoholic beer for the taste. Do not try to pretend that it isn't. :)

So true... I was thinking the same thing. Just goes to show that "having it all" doesn't actually mean anything at all. I often wonder how people manage to get through life without God... especially when tough times or tragedies strike.

I pray the Holy Spirit will passionately seek out these guys and many others like them and turn their lives around for the good.
