It is simple. No burden bearer shall bear the burden of another on that DAY. Bush, Saddam, Hitler and all their cronies will be held accountable for their actions.
Being Christian, Muslim, Jew does not give you monopoly of God. Rather, we all belong to God and He is indeed our unifying umbrella.
Do not doubt God but rather question how and what means you use to relate to Him. If you would like us to further discuss this topic, please feel free to email me at yasriel2001@yahoo.com.
Thank you.

SouthernYankee Am not a good debater when it comes to religion. I believe everyone has a right to believe in their god whoever he may be. I was raised to believe that. I never heard any of my priests say that this religion is bad and this religion is good. Am 60 yrs old. On the other hand I live in a rural red state in the south were alot of evangelicals and some are very judgemental. I remember a man that was religious and wouldn't help fix a church because it wasn't the same as his religion. Go figure. I hate it when christians will say the word christian to describe protestant religion and than say catholic as if they aren't christians. I remind them that christainity started with catholics first. We are all gods children no matter how we pray. I would be proud if a jew, muslim, budhist or any faith prays for us. I say thanks it never hurts for prayers.

God bless

Name calling are not the stuffs we have both learnt from Barack this election cycle. And I am never going even try to equate your non-faith to my faith. They are two different things.
We can disagree but not be disagreable though...cheers:)

Kathleen Yasriel,
I am a Christian grandma and I really like you. You and I don't see eye to eye on the literalism of our Holy Books but that really is okay. If we are able to treat each other with love and respect, I would say we are both working hard to discover what is true about each of our Books and our faiths.

I apologize for not being clear on that....I for one, do not view God has either a Man or a Woman.
I do not view God in the light of our limitations as human beings because God is above all such.
So thank you for your correction.

The Quran is filled with predictions, and you might want to take time to read it yourself. Nonetheless, I will state some:
1. Man's ascension to space 2. Our ever expanding universe 3. Big Band thoery 4. Sea Water (Fresh and Salt water) 5. Embryo development in the womb 6. The lowest point on earth 7. Exploding stars 8. The bases of Algorithms etc.....
Please educate yourself by taking a copy of the English Quran.
Unclaimed Wow, the Quran predicted sea water? And that embryos develop in the womb? That is pretty amazing. Nobody at the time the Quran was written could have known about those things!

I don't think anybody's believed in Big Band Theory since the '50s, though.
nou looks like Nostradamus predicted more in-depth stuff than your "god", interpretation can be fun.

Exactly what I intend to tell him. God does not care about our clothes, color, money or physical attributes but He cares for our souls and our actions.

I am a Muslim and I approve your message.

SouthernYankee Am a catholic and I have always voted for a democratic. I have been having doubts about god because the way the republican party has hijacked religion and made it a bad word. I feel god was a liberal because he believed in helping people especially the poor. To me maybe god put the Bush administration and the republican party in charge to see how a party of devils have imagined to ruin a country and destroy the one thing we all have in common. Hope, faith, and charity. Being good to your fellow man. If you take the things that republicans say about he is their god because the are holier than anyoneelse than may god put Hilter in charge of Germany and Saddam in charge of Iraq. After all they pray to their higher power. Right?

And thank you for acknowledging that the most I could do was to give you my point of view. I am not one of those that subscribe to forcing it thru the throat of others. I have only posted my views that perhaps, given the chance to review what I reviewed, you might come to the same conclusion about the existence of the Creator as I did.
It is true we both care for our world and we both want to conserve and improve it. So, let's work together to put Obama in the White House.

Josh Yasriel, we can certainly agree to put Obama in the White House. No question there.

However, I must echo the views of Jaime and question your continued use of words like "truth" and "fact". You do not seem to have any conception of what these words mean.

I would quote you back to you, "I have only posted my views that perhaps, given the chance to review what I reviewed, you might come to the same conclusion about the existence of the Creator as I did." Perhaps if you acknowledged that my non-faith is as valid as your faith then we could have a civil discussion on spirituality. Until then you will continue to be reviled as a "scary bible thumper".

Well, thank you for castigating me without taking the time to understand my points.
I will reiterate again. I was only attempting to proof the existence of God, and nothing more.
To the contrary, I believe God created this world for us to explore and seek knowledge. If not, I would not have possessed a master’s degree in a science related field. However, we must understand that in as much as we want to seek knowledge and challenge nature and our environment, we must also give credit to the creator.
To your dismay, my views are closely aligned with Democrats on the issue of science.

Tyler If you have any degree even remotely related to science and don't know why the Sun goes from East to West.... please ask for you money and time back.

And let us know which school, so we can get their accredation removed. Same goes for your comments about the sky and other ignorant assertions. It is just sad how bad education is in this country.

I have nothing against God and religion, everyone has a right to their own beliefs. But when they miss the basics of science and the Earth is the center of the universe or light bulbs are run by "magic" then its just a shame.
Kabloona we live a double impossibility. It is , to the best of our knowledge, impossible for anything to exist if nothing existed before it, but we do exist. Because we exist, mankind has devised many ways to cope with new found intetlligence. We look for ways to explain all that surrounds us. God was the easy answer. Everyone thought so and that is why there are so many varients on religion. In some cultures , many Gods were used to fit certain things. This is true throughout the many cultures encountered around the world and I attribute it to mans sense of awareness and curiousty coupled with the need to believe in something bigger than himself. I grew out of believing the quick and easy answers to my curiously early childhood questions where telling me God "wanted it that way" would often suffice. No pillars hold up the sky. If you have any idea at all about what celestial bodies are ( they are not 13 virgins) then you already know why the earth rotates and spins through space and the sun is a stationary object in relationship to the earth but not as it pertains to the universe....umm and if you don't, read a book. Those are the things they keep in libraries. Oh, by the way, God cheats at poker but is worth keeping around for his outlandish stories. I esspecially enjoy the ones about the creation of everything including man, then creating animals, bringing them to man to name..ummm...sure..just proof that God hated dinosaurs.

You are way off the mark...Professing religious believes does not make people scary. Besides, probably you are an Obama supporter like me. The truth is this, GOD exist and He is the Creator and we are all His Creation. That is what I tried to prove above and I will never support any war against people.
If you still feel scared after this...then you’re probably afraid of your own shadow.

Jaime Yasriel,
Thank you for taking the time to give us your point of view. What is obvious to you as a matter of faith, isn't that obvious to me. When you look around everything that you see, you see through God because that is the way that you choose to look at the world. When I look I see a natural world built on scientific principles. Where faith is concerned there is no right or wrong, only faith or disbelief.

But we are both looking at the same thing, and from what I can tell we both care about it deeply. That is all that really matters. We can work together, and come together based on a love for the planet and all creation. We can work to make this world better for everyone. But I don't think we'll be able to convince each other that what we each choose to believe is correct.

Please refer to my answer below.
Science only gave us a way to understand how God does His things. I think most people are myopic in the sense of believing that everything that comes from God has to be miraculous, out of the ordinary. But we have forgotten that God is the Master of Processes.
One of the ways God achieve His purpose is simply through Science. So in essence science is the vehicle through which God does fulfill His goals.

Harry That is a great answer.

Why would a scientific person reject god right out? Look at what is beyond the universe. What happens before big bang? What caused it? Where did all these matter came from? Where is all this energy created from? Is there more then one universe? What about dimension?

You are looking at question that mankind might never be able to answer, in fact, no creature in the universe might be able to answer. We all come to this world and this universe unknowing and leave carrying a bit of mystery with us. There are simply a lot of things nobody know why, and probably nobody ever will.

Therefore, to explains science, you are going to need a little faith.
Chuckewe Yasriel:

Where did God come from? How did God come to be a living God? Out of what material did God make the universe, and where did God get it?

I know the platitude, He always was and always will be. It's faith!

Sorry that doesn't work for me. Please answer my questions before questioning someone else.
It's always a which came first the chicken or the egg theory.

Quick question: What makes the Sun rise from the East and sets in the West and continue to follow to this routine day in day out for thousands of years?
If science, why don't scientist change the order of the Sun and make it go from West to East?
Think.

Josh I think perhaps you need to do the thinking. Scientists study and describe the scientific laws of our natural universe...they do not control them. Please, try again.
nick the only thinking that needs to be done is on your end.

Interesting....
If the Quran, Bible ....were written by man then you have to pay attention to this conversation.
While I was studying in college, I took a class in Geology. So, the lecturer went forth discussing the Big Bang Theory, a theory not older than 200 years. But we (the students) did not believe him neither did he believe himself because he just had to teach it (as per syllabus). He was Christian.
Weeks after the class, I went to a Mosque (place of worship for Muslims) and the speaker started talking about Big Bang theory...then he quoted this verse "Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe? Quran Chapter 21 verse 30.
I was astonished to find out that the Quran, revealed over 1420 years could now be the reference for science in the last 200 years.
Consider this, who among human beings could have known this fact 1420 years without all the modern tool of today’s world? This was beyond human comprehension at that time and God has made us understand it now.

pamela Yas, your ignorance is hopeless, but at least this forum provides a way for people to reflect upon that very ignorance and perhaps they will learn from these discussions and by your failure to do so. Perhaps you have a disorder of the mind?
Josh So you are saying that the mythologies created by the ancients in order to tell their children bed-time stories about the creation of the universe happen to correspond with what we are now coming to understand are scientific realities? Wow...good for them. It still doesn't mean that there is any validity to the rest of the bed-time stories.

Larry Linn,
I had like to respond to your talk by asking you some few questions:
1. If there wasn't an all knowing being (God), how could the predictions in the Bible and Quran be 100% accurate? Events that were going to occur in the future yet have been foretold thousands of years early.
2. Consider the sky above you without pillars, how come it has not fallen on you?
3. Consider LOVE; how come you love your spouses so deeply and yet you were never related?
4. Consider your food, how come has Man you have so many varieties to choose from but the animals do not have those options?
5. Do you have kids? If you do, how come your heart beats with so much joy at the sight of your baby smiles and you love your kids dearly?
The fact is there are so many things within you and other you to proof the existence of the All-Knowing, Ever Powerful God. All you need to do is reflect deeply on HIS signs around you.
God does not need your money and he does not even take it. Rather he provides for you all the treasures you see around. It is only men that milk religion for the own personal goals.
Mind you, I am not even a Christian. I am a Muslim but I will always defend my Christian fellows as regards to God.

The Cat of Doom Yasriel... The Old Testament says...
1. Grasshoppers have 4 legs.
2. Rabbits are ruminants.
3. You are a brilliant debater.
None of these statements are true.
YogaforCynics (drjay1966) Yasriel, have you ever even heard of science? If the Bible and Koran, and the world as understood millennia ago, are all one knows, your questions make sense. Otherwise, they sound like those of a small child who doesn't understand what the sky is, or anything about biology, or that nothing in the Bible or Koran has been shown to be 100% accurate, or that those who have most deeply studied the world around them instead of keeping their noses in their holy books, have found reasons to question those holy books, rather than any evidence of their "truth."

Frank "Consider the sky above you without pillars, how come it has not fallen on you? "

Um, what? Are you serious? Are literally asking what holds up the gases that comprise our atmosphere, or what holds the stars in space?
edwcorey 1. Name one prediction that came true.
2. Consult Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein.
3. Animals love; especially social animals. What is love? Why do men like certain types of women, and vice versa? It's called genetics, imprinting, nurturing, experience, etc.
4. The number of edible foods is quite small. Can you eat dirt? Earthworms can.
5. I have no kids. Thank "God."
