I feel that he should be expelled or impeached. It has nothing to do with his color. It is strictly a matter of ethics.

Democrats (Pelosi & CBC) would do well to talk with Jefferson quietly and forcefully to get him to resign without the embarrassmet of being removed.

Interesting to see how things have progressed in the past few weeks. It appears that the Afrosphere is growing. I think that is a good thing. When we are unwelcome to the 'ol boyz club' it is up to us to create our own. I hope that we are able to engender the spirit of Umoja as the afrosphere evolves in the coming weeks.

All - The overwhelming majority of Black blogs are not 'entertainment genre. Even the Top 25 has very few 'entertainment' blogs. My observation is that the entertainment blogs started earlier than the rest of us. Much of their success is based on consistency and length of their service.

Anon - Good point on Debra Dickerson and MojoBlog. It appears the blog is not Black-owned as it is a non-profit organization that runs it. I guess you would suggest that it be removed from the list,huh? Her blog (The Last Plantation) has been added to the BBR as a result of your comment...

I would have preferred Edwards' endorsement before Ohio, Pennsylvania or his home state of North Carolina. However, as it turns out he & Obama were brilliant to come out with it the day after the West Virginia results.

Now, the proof of Edwards' moxie comes if he can round up some endorsements (like he did with the Steelworkers' Union) and uncommitted superdelegates...

I was in Los Angeles visiting with my Mom. I had my laptop and watched a live-stream show where they were giving a minute-by-minute update of the caucus votes as they came in. I remember getting giddy as Obama finally broke through into first place ... and when it was obvious he won, I remember getting my Mom from her room and turning on network TV (she doesn't have cable) to watch his victory speech.

We were both had tears in our eyes with happiness, pride and joy that night...

It is remarkable how different things have gotten over the years. I remember when Vanessa Williams won this award back in the day it was a remarkable event that brought all of us pride ... and we were uniformly pissed off when the nude photos of her came up later in the process.

I didn't even know that Ms. Texas was Black or that she won until this morning. It simply doesn't appear to be relevant any longer.
